Give this kid some respect... who cares what he looks like. People are always so quick to judge... damn. This is real hip hop and I give this guy props for making some new & refreshing music.
unedible man, sends shivers down my spine, hard to do that. makes me want to cry someone so willing to share their pain and more. respect grieves. and he don't look young , been through some shit you can hearit in his music.
Grieves is one of the most talented musicians out there, for real. all his music has so much meaning behind it, It isn't like fuck bitches, get money, blow smoke, other random lyrics that are said just to rhyme. Everything he says makes sense, has meaning and it's easily relateable.
This was the first I ever saw of Grieves. Instant love. Just read through some comments. This man looking boy is originally gorgeous, without a doubt. He is so awkward in his actions it make's him very unique. Great characteristics. It's has to be males who saying he is anything else but wonderful to watch as well as listen too, and disliking that hyperactive hand movement (that's always good on a man, "males note") Female's with good, healthy, active, estrogen levels enjoy all of him very much.
I’ve listened to grieves since I had to skip school to go to a rural western Massachusetts Internet cafe, and now I literally live in pierce/king county I fell in love with this area before I even knew it, and coming here showed me such a beautiful side of nature and just, humans I just missed his recent show but it’s a dream to see him perform 🤍 I believe 2008(9?)
Another Rhymesayers genius. Aesop Rock, Brother Ali, Atmosphere, Grieves...some of the most inspirational rap artists out there...this is real rap boys.
every time I watch this it reminds me not to judge people that I don't know... this guy looks so young, and I'd never imagine him to be doing hip hop... but here he is, living my dream... big ups to Grieves...
Just saw this guy at Paid Dues yesterday....blew my mind. There were a lot of artists I was looking forward to seeing more than Grieves & Budo, but they were one of the best acts of the day.
I love this song. It's positively breath-taking to the point that I get chills when I listen to it. Grieves is my absolute favorite rapper because he speaks the truth and his rap holds immense beauty behind every song.
I met Grieves and Budo last night at Warped Tour, and they were the nicest, most down to earth artists there. They signed a shirt, took pictures with my friends and I, and invited us to sit at their booth and talk to them. Definitely a talented guy, there's a reason he's my favorite rapper.
I've seen some comments that the video makes you cringe. 12 - 13 years ago when this was put together trends/fashion were a lot different. In 12 - 13 years people will look back at the fashion of today and say it makes them cringe. Funny thing is give this style another 10 years and it will come back full circle. Trends and fashions recycle... solid, well written lyrics never go anywhere. Respect Grieves.
This guys one of the best newcomers on the scene. A deep poet on the level with peeps like Sage Francis, Slug, Eyedea, Mackelmoore, Cage Scroobius Pip, AllFlaws
Nathan Morris his lyrical style was a lot better in irreversible and 88 keys and counting.. WATW is dope.. but nowhere near as dope as his those two albums I mentioned.. His style was a lot more raw and metaphorical.. Now its too easy to comprehend and I don't dig it as hard as his older stuff.. Guess everyone has to grow though right haha
12 years later I still listen, life changed a lot, i got a good woman, when i foudn grieves i had a bitch who treated me like shit, its amazing what a few years can do. Life is 10x better now, life is dynamic like that, we all die, aint no escaping it but aint no fucking time to fear it, not like i did, no sadness, maybe not much happiness but i got smiles when i need them, 12 years ago i didnt. Shit changes, grieves still tho, he keeps me alright.
Love the song and love the video. Keep reppin the 206 and doing us proud. Thanks for actually saying something in an industry where no one says anything anymore. much aloha to you from home....206 stand up!
Close you eye's.. What do you hear? Real music it is. Hip Hop is universal, black, white, yellow; it doesn't matter. Hip hop is for everyone and for every age. For it feeds your soul.
I also love: "Hip-Hop will never dissapear or die, it will just hide underground" or "Hip-Hop never died, just press your ear down and listen to the underground" :)
this guy is dope, how have I been jammin' rhymesayers for so long without giving this guy a listen... and yeah, listen to the guy above, don't hate. this dude is madddd talented.
'07? This is before Grieves got big. I remember him opening up for Grayskul that Fall and he rocked a crowd of... 5 people, maybe? I was the first one to even get in front of the stage and had no idea who he even was but came away impressed. Talented no doubt, and he's come a long way in four years.
No other artist in the world have that calm relaxing sexy awesome voice!! And his music is so emotional!! And it's amazing how every pease he does is so different to all the others! Its a heaven sent talent given to only one chosen person in the entire universe.
Everyone has problems, and sometimes we all feel like we can't take it. Seeing yourself exactly as you are reflected in the media is a huge part of remaining sane. Sometimes the road is simply long and hard, and we have to lament to get through it. That, my friend, can be just as beautiful. If all music were filled with nothing but what appears to be positivity on the surface, it would feel like a constrained lie. I prefer truth in my music, whether it's happy or sad.
why are people so caught up in looks like you like the music you hear what they talk about but youre still caught up in the glamour... homeboy killed it and you can tell he felt it props on the video it looks like you went to multiple different places must of took time and im glad you could keep up the growth my man
@from212 you have, i opened for grieves back in decemeber. Was one of the most memorable points in my life. His quotes are tattoo'd on me. I live for the rhyemsayers.
I met this dude at a Looptroop show he did with them at the viper room and didn't know who he was til recently. He was ridiculously nice though, he deserves to do well and I hope he does.
fuckin beautiful.. I feel the words more then ever, in these days. Listen to the resonance of his soul, the serious, yet soft side of his words. It's love, with intensity. Balance in harmony.
This song being 17 years old is crazy. This era got me through some tough times as a teenager.
Dude same here. This was like chiddy bang era.
What a banger. This could have been release in 2023. This guy is timeless.
Thank god it didnt. Id ov never found grieves.
A classic with some spiritual meaning in it, what a banger 🔥🙏💯
Give this kid some respect... who cares what he looks like. People are always so quick to judge... damn. This is real hip hop and I give this guy props for making some new & refreshing music.

Grieves writes real rap, and this song is the pinnacle of what rappers need to live up to.
grieves and atmosphere... they got soul in their music which makes it so incredibly good

For everyone that says he is awkward or needs to work on his moves...just remember; this was 4 years ago, he's grown up a quite a bit since then! :)
man, he's got such a baby face that you don't think he could say anything, but it actually speaks
Young Grieves looks like Leafy
Leafy is a pussy, Grieves ain't
Leafy is a god, please.
the boy singlehandedly puts all other 'pop rappers' this planets festers lately to sleep
2020. And i still here. Peace from Brasil
I'm extremely dedicated to rock and roll, and this guy has single handedly restored what little faith I have in hip hop
Thumbs up from Texas ^^

My favorite song at the moment.

I met this dude at a Looptroop show he did with them at the viper room and didn't know who he was til recently. He was ridiculously nice though, he deserves to do well and I hope he does.
