I was grumpy to be waking up at 0400. Then I get this little gift; my favorite reactor doing one of my favorite bands. The song "Impossible" should be next.

The song is a reference to his mental health problems he had, especially not being able to sleep when on tour, which is a running theme in Broken Machine. They did a beautiful version of Impossible in Abbey Road complete with strings from the new album Moral Panic. There isn’t a duff song in their catalogue and Conor’s voice is exceptional in all of them.

I read that this song is about how after buying across the counter sleep medicine when on tour in usa, cos he couldnt sleep on the tour bus, he found out when he got home afyer the tour ended, that he had become addicted to it and he couldnt sleep without it. It is about how it affected his relationship with his band etc. It said that he did manage to stop taking the medication eventually.
Man Made Sunshine is Conor Masons solo music. Theyre all written by him and they are gorgeous! He doesnt use his voice to his limits in them always, but theyre made for his own mental health.

I'm so happy that you've discovered them! Conor's vocals are off the charts, I honestly think he has the best voice in the industry right now. There are so many good songs by them that I'd honestly recommend working your way through their albums. But if you want a simple video showing some of his vocal talent there is an older video of his best vocal moments.
