You sure called it on the croc fight haha it was almost on, when I was about your age, and we went to the NT we got special access to an Aboriginal area because our family, had friends that lived in the community. At that place we got to swim at a billabong with freshwater crocs, it was pretty scary, I didn't go past my knees but all the local Aboriginal kids were swimming way out in the billabong and we saw 2 freshwater crocs on the bank, they were over a metre long... They always swim there and say if they aren't nesting they never attack, surprisingly no one had ever been bitten there... I guess salties really are the bad ones when it comes to crocs, just like they said. How cool were all the snakes and loved that Komodo Dragon, one of my favourite reptiles. One of those spider monkeys at the park we went to near Darwin, stole my uncle's sunglasses and put them on hahaha, then the cheeky thing snapped them in half... Cassowary is one scary creature, I worked with them at featherdale wildlife park, I preferred mowing the croc enclosed tbh, those birds are nuts... 😅

I reckon that if ya went swimming at that lagoon ya woulda got bitten 😂🤣😂, at elim beach, our last stop where I got the bream, the original indigenous owner (he’s passed away now) speared a 55 KILO BARRA! And he was wading in knee deep water and never had a trouble with the crocs,…..
@@TobysfishingNoutdoors I sure did mate for about 5 years, was my first job after high school 👍 It was a good job just unfortunately not enough money... I worked with the koalas a lot and even got to name one Mikey after me 👍 WOW a 55kg Barra that's crazy what a fish, that thing could probably boof a toddler swimming around, lucky they don't do much swimming around those waterways... The aboriginal seem to have a way with the land, they treat it with respect and get respect back, I hear of a lot more non indigenous people getting attacked by crocs...
