A lot of great info in this video for someone just starting. I could of really used this when I first started. Just a note, I'm sure you already know that you can put down campfires and sleeping bags in towns if inside of a ruined building, and that it just slipped your mind. ;)

I can build a stone processor, but like, where do I get the stones? I know how to mine ore/copper and put make them into machines to make plates, but do I like...mine stones? It's rather embarrassing but so far for my base I've had to run back and forth from towns to get building materials.
@@TyTimeIsAwesome no worries. Yes there are raw rock/stone deposits out in the world. Mine it directly at the start. Eventually I believe there is an automatic stone mine.

When you get a chance can you point me to a stone mine near Stack? No rush! BTW 3 of my members are Shek and I didnt' realize the Holy Nation didn't take kindly to them. My whole squad was attacked by HN Paladins so I had to run all the way back to the ninja base (comrades). Watching them ninjas vs. paladins was AWESOME. I stole armors/weapons off the dead of course lol.

You can access this menu on the bottom right of your interface but keep in mind that most items can't be built in the range of a city (not sure if this includes the stone mine). Also stone is something you can prospect for, there are two ways of working with this. You can either one after finding the stone mine in the build menu, move the cursor around the general area until you see the percentage reach anywhere that is +%70, or use the prospect option which is also on the bottom right of your interface to help locate it (keep in mind that you will likely need a character with a moderate skill in Science for this to be effective).
Is there a way to quickly drop an item out of your inventory on the ground without having to click and drag it out of your inventory ? Or is that the only way to drop things?
I have to ask. HUNGER - Thumper's hunger @6:00 into the video is at 80% and at the bottom of 2nd column from the left, also shows as 291. Is that good or bad? He looks to be OK from looking at the 2nd column, but if I was 80% hungry, I would be hungry going on to starving! Or are these stats showing that Thumper is 80% full and not really hungry? Sems to me to be a bit missleading.
I believe the 80% is the overall rate of hunger, which I have set in the game settings. I normally reduce the hunger rate when I first start a new game because I always felt it was a pain :D That would be under advanced settings.
Thank you for the informative video. I have one question that was not covered; How to name your faction? I noticed you had a name for your group , ' Redeemed"; I have been trying to figure out how to name mine!
What do you have your screen resolution set at? I keep trying to have it set at full screen but part of the screen is always being cut off and I cant read everything clearly.
FYI, if you loot a piece of armor from a faction and wear it there is a chance one of their buddies will not take too kindly of you wearing his dead homies gear

Status window.. some of those explanations you need to scroll them to read them BUT when you move your mouse you can no longer access that scrolling so the only way I can think of is to change the font size but there must be a better way. How to scroll the text when your mouse is hovering over the stat? THANKS !! ..
that is the current load of your current load status to show you how close you are to moving to a different load status (fairly important as encumbrance, especially heavy and above encumbrance and start to majorly impact your characters). Once you exceed it, you go to light load, then medium load, and then heavy load, and then super over-encumbered load. Which have further thresholds. While you can never be prevented from moving, being massively over-encumbered slows you to an absolute crawl, horrifically impacts a lot of skills, and MASSIVELY increases your hunger rate compared to other loads.
@@TobelPlays, this isn't always true. perhaps with some races (greenlanders), but my skeletons have a plus 20% STR and it seems I go well over my weight limit before encumbrance levels bump up. I just logged on to my skeleton and loaded inventory some and at 72/66 and still weighless, and no i wasn't paused. Should be the same for Shek and I would think that it might even work the opposite for Hivers with a minus to STR.
21:48 I heard people say that if your right arm gets fucked then you can't one hand your weapon in your left hand because apparently everyone's right handed. So that's not the case I guess then?

17:45 Holy shit, so that's the function. I was using "Follow" all the time, before I saw this.
2 years late but the follow fuction is also pretty good because the pathfinding doesn't break as often when your party is just following one member

How do I move a hole stack of items into my inventory
Hold shift and click and drag over.
You don't have to dragShift and right click on it and it will transfer to the other container the entire stack You
How is your encumbrance 0% and weightless when you're 16/18? That a mod or something?
I believe the encumbrance actually goes up once you go above the first initial limit. So as soon as I go above 18/18, I start to incur a penalty.

can you not trade with pack animals? i tried right clicking on my pack animal, and i dont get any options, and his inventory doesnt open up
