I'd honestly say its waterproof, I bought one 4 years ago and my friend thought it'd float so she threw it into a lake and after seeing it obviously not she dove in after it and it went pretty deep. Still works great!

it really is drop proof. I dropped my ue boom 2 off a 6 floor parking deck and one year later, it is STILL kicking. These things are rugged monsters. I've had mine for at least 5 years and it still sounds brand new. I highly recommend it.
I have the first ue boom for 4-5 years now. And that one is water proof and drop proof and engine oil proof and i have personally tested it (not intentionally) many times and it still works amazingly well. So i am excited for all of their products. The mircro usb was ok when i got it since all my devices had the same charger, now i need to carry one more charger for it and that is the only downside i can think of
I consider myself lucky with finding one of these. I was on my usual walks, when I found one of these just dumped in the middle of the street. I took it home, and apart from a little dirt on the speaker, it was still working. It had a substantial charge in it, and I tested it out. It operated well! But then again it is waterproof.
I have the JBL Flip 4 and my friend has one of the UE speakers (I can't remember which one) and we both tested it and to me personally I prefer how the JBL sound especially the bass and since recently JBL released the Flip 5 I have now dowth its gonna be really good

My original Boom will not die. Still going strong after 6 years! Dropped mine no less than 5 times on concrete and asphalt. Just rode in a thunderstorm and it's not even the waterproof version. The 1/4" thread on the bottom is good to attach a lanyard.
you should try a jbl product i have a jbl charge 3, 4 and a flip 4 i think they are as good as a UE product and in europe they are a bigger deal then UE
I can tell you the original speaker is very tough. Mine recently started mushing out on the bass while playing, so I smashed it against a wall and on a cement floor 5 times before it quit playing. The power never went off. I had to actually press where the button "was" to shut it off!
I love my UE Boom2. Had it for 4 years. Plays anything that can go through Bluetooth. No subscriptions necessary. I don't want to talk to it so there's no security problems! It's portable so we can take it out to the park with our dance group for a good sound production. Size of a Pringles tube. Battery life OK. 12 hours for this model is only possible at lower volumes. Perhaps 4 hours at max volume.
Weda Prd take it to the nearest apple dealer and ask for a solution. If it’s a warranty issue it’s ok because it lasts 1 or two years unless the screen is cracked. Other simpler things to do may be to restart/reboot the device or removing the screen recorder from the quick bar when you swipe down from the right hand corner. Good luck

Try KEF Muo. In my opinion it sounds better than the booms. I had an ue boom 2 and change it for a kef muo and never looked back. I"ve also tried the boom 3, but for me, kef just sounds better and it's about the same price.

have my for 8 years now, works like a charm, of course battery is down to 50% but way long enough to play 10 hours of music.
I still use my original UE boom I've had it for years and it still bumps and people are still surprised how loud the speaker is.

Xb10 is way to small
Try KEF Muo. In my opinion it sounds better than the booms. I had an ue boom 2 and change it for a kef muo and never looked back. I"ve also tried the boom 3, but for me, kef just sounds better and it's about the same price.

love it, I have 3x ue2 and 3x ue1. You can get them so cheap now. Bunch of friends in my dance class have them too so we went and danced in the park with a whole lot of them connected. its a trip, being able to walk around in a space and have that same song playing wherever you go.
