Do you find crate training hard?

Thanks for the shoutout!! 100% agree dogs should be familiar with using a crate. Vets, groomers, heck even in a disaster that's what they use to get the animals. The worst part for me with crate training is the whine and separation anxiety at first. Those puppy cries, oh my heart. Making it a game or using a clothing item in there that smells like you helps, and yes with heelers they go, hey I don't need that anymore I know the rules and they get fussy with it ugh. Furry little children lol

So true, being crates for dogs is a basic skill. Some dogs never learn to love it, only tolerate it.
Those things do help, but sometimes that girl just doesn’t want to be alone. I am going to send you pictures on ig of what I just came home too. We had a family event a few towns away, and girly clearly did by like being left at home crated.

@busywithdogs I get that. This crew seems to tolerate it because mom! Lol Our Kage actually figured out how to unlatch them and even one time took it apart and put it back together. He was so proud.

@ Omg, some dogs have a knack for getting out. Clover has Houdini’s out of her crate many times. I don’t know how she does it. I am not even sure she knows how she does it, because she doesn’t get out all the time.
Kage was such a beautiful dog.

@busywithdogs Thank you. I felt the same about him sometimes I couldn't figure out how he precisely unhooked and rebooted everything.
