I would imagine,in this fight considering he remembers LOADS and RESETS. The order his attacks are in would be RNG dependent as he switches things up so you would always have to be on your toes. Love the theme, and the concept of this has always been intriguing to me.
i got another idea, what if flowey was ALSO able to access at least one or two souls after calling for help against frisk? like, obviously not enough to turn him into asriel, or even photoshop flowey, but enough to JUST let him emulate some of his attacks from his two stronger forms to stand a chance against you + act as failsafes in case he fails to dodge an attack like what if there were different difficulties where flowey gets one/two souls and the souls change with each difficulty, since the souls would also be pitching in with their own attacks instead of just boosting flowey's stats i imagine justice and perseverance would be the most fitting souls to help flowey, as being torn from the true pacifist ending would likely nearly break flowey's spirit as he sees us go on a no mercy route, only for him to collect himself and vow to put an end to our "game" before anything irreversible happens. he PERSEVERES through his own struggles for the sake of the world. and he'd also want to get JUSTICE for everyone, both from the previous timeline and this one. also, clover would probably willingly help flowey regardless if they realized their "best friend" was literally fighting for the fate of the world in the other room lol
Sounds good. It gives off the feeling that Flowey is absolutely trying here. There's no glee in that smile he's giving. It seems like a cover for his fear of Chara. This would realistically happen after you kill Asgore, so he has definitely felt that fear.
i feel like the smile would be pretty strained after the fight drags on for long enough, and he'll probably occasionally switch back to the scared, distressed face he uses in the original genocide run when telling chara to back off before quickly going back to his "scary" face as an intimidation tactic at this point, asriel's truly got his back against the wall. no souls, no powers, nothing. he's just trying to stall you... for as long as he can... to see what'll finally get you to quit.
He doesn’t do this as it would leave him open to be killed in one attack and frisk/chara could just keep coming back anyways so there’s no point doing do.
@@KaidenNorman-v4l flowey most definitely knows how to cheat the system, maybe better than sans does. who says he can't take the first turn everytime and just spam an attack until you die over and over? the human would have to realize there's no way out of that eventually
@EEE.654 sans thought the same with his special attack but it will have to be our turn eventually and we can also cheat flowey is well aware of this as seen in undertale yellows genocide route he knows there’s 0 point in doing it considering we have more determination than him so he gives up and lets himself be attacked :TLDR we can also cheat to land a hit
@@KaidenNorman-v4l late reply but the difference between sans and flowey is that sans fell asleep, essentially letting you get to the fight button. flowey isn't that stupid. he's not gonna LET you hit him. also you can't use undertale yellow flowey as an argument because uty is a fangame. that's like saying toriel is evil because you read it in a fanfiction. plus, flowey'll just keep killing you everytime you come back. he's definitely shown to be willing and capable of doing it one million times, in his own words, and that was just to stave off boredom. when it comes to life or permanent death, flowey's definitely gonna kill you. his motto is kill or be killed for a reason. he already died once because he refused to defend himself, it's why he adopted that mentality in the first place. @@EEE.654 Mb undertale yellow was so good I forgot it was a fan game. Flowey! He has to be my favourite character in Undertale, and this is a really cool concept. Like, people have done Flowey with the six human souls on Genocide, but I've never seen just Flowey on his own before.
Flowey with the souls on the Genocide route never really made sense to me. He only gets them in Neutral because Asgore brings them out, he said himself that he could never get to them otherwise
You attack Flowey, only to realize that he doesn't have HP. After all, your LV doesn't do much against something that doesn't have a soul. You'll just have to tear him down, piece by piece.
I could be wrong but, on top of this being a really cool idea, I feel like Flowey could be a genuine threat, arguably, allow me to explain my thoughts more lmao(Nerding moment /j) ~ Yes, Flowey isn't by any means the strongest monster, nor is he exactly 'powerful'(Outside of Photoshop), I'd say he's formidable at best. What makes me believe he could be a fairly difficult fight is the fact that he's pretty smart if not also clever: I'm not saying that because of the whole 'Friendliness Pellet' trick thing(Even if that's a part of it) ~ I'm saying this because he's arguably the *only* monster in UT who has an attack you couldn't dodge. To elaborate. Within UT a lot of the monsters have attacks which can be dodged with difficulty usually varying depending on who the monster is (Except Undyne but that's because of the 'Green Soul' thing in which you block against her attacks) In Flowey's case, however, rather that attacking you with a similar style of attacking ~ He completely cages you in with a ring of pellets that slowly close in on you, an attack which, realistically, you probably *wouldn't* have been able to avoid ~ You don't really dodge it either actually lol, It's Toriel who saves you. Sure, that could be an example of Flowey just playing dirty, but I think it's also rather smart on his end to utilize a move that you *cannot* dodge, ensuring his victory. (I'm not sure if he does the pellet cage in regards to if you do/don't collect the pellet though, I forgot) Uncorrelated to whether or not he's smart, the creator does state that he is capable of popping in/out of the ground to evade the players attacks like Sans, which would also play into my beliefs a little. I'm not saying that Flowey would win, the desc seems to be imply he'd lose even so, I'm saying that he'd be able to prove a difficult opponent for the player *solely* because he's smart, clever, and unafraid to play dirty to win. Him dodging similarly to Sans also improves his odds. Now I COULD be wrong on this so correct me if I'm wrong lol, but I think that the flower could actually be formidable just as 'Flowey', not as Photoshop or anything. The guy has potential imo.
I've heard a theory he can use undodgable attacks because they're kinda like betrayal kills - you need your opponent to lower their guard. Flowey tricks you every time he uses an undodgable attack (fake tutorial battle, thinking you can actually win in Photoshop battle, getting the true pacifist). The main argument is that Sans also uses undodgable attack if you spare him when he offers you to stop.
Love me some good nerding out. I agree entirely with your analysis, There's another thing you forgot to mention however, something that puts him above literally every other character when it comes to a one on one battle. He remembers resets. For the first time, it will be a somewhat fair fight. Sure, you still only have to win once. But, Flowey remembers every time you die. He remembers what messed you up, what you took damage on. He can adjust his attacks accordingly, exploit the player's weakest points. If this fight ever gets made into an actual fan game/animation, the only way it'd work is if his attacks changed after every reset. He is the only character in the entire game that will never be predictable because he's just like us. He remembers. Toby Fox basically had to nerf him with True Resets so he wouldn't screw up any future true pacifist runs. The only reason I think he'd lose is because, eventually, he'd slip up. One way or another, he'd make a single mistake. And that's all the player needs for him to lose forever. We get infinite chances to beat him, he just gets one.
@@canthatewhatyoucantsee1834I almost forgot that he's capable of doing that lol, true though, that's a very interesting fun fact which would definitely make a battle against him really unique & challenging ~ An adapting foe who remembers each and every one of your mistakes each reset/return you do and uses them to his advantage. I think my original idea would be even more likely with that in mind. (Also, thanks for the reply lol ~ Nerding out every now and then is something I find quite fun to do, so I'm glad there's someone else who equally has a fondness/joy for doing so.) (I personally think it's a really good way to spark interesting ideas and/or conversations like this as well.)
You have to remember that he's not a monster either. Those friendliness pellets use magic sure but they're also physically there, hes fucking hitting you with seeds.
0:48 okay so what if in the fight, at that moment Flowey would make Asriel face and when the beat drops it would turn into a twisted demonic version of it.
@adridoes_sillystuff True, through what if was more reminder to "us" the player, we should know "we're" the villain in all this? Or perhaps it's a flash of Chara's new viewpoint? Edit: fixed a part of the text that didn't make much sense

Everybody is talking about Flowey being cunning- but I'd like to point out that this time, he would INTENTIONALLY trap you. Trap as in, finish off Asgore's SOUL so that you can't win even if you kill him, because you'll be stuck in the Underground forever... Basically intentionally ruining everything by killing Asgore instead of accidentally like in normal Genocide route lmao
couldnt just kill another monster also going to the surface wolnt be a good idea either another human is more determined than you or some anti-determination weapon would be used the humans would know much more about determanition have alot more time and resources to work on it
oh also for the comments: 1. Nope, only Boss Monsters retain their souls after death for just a moment, and Asgore is the last one left 2. Most speculation, but Chara does want out of the Underground- or at least is implied to, considering how they ask for a different route after repeated runs- controlling Frisk on a pacifist route as well 3. Flowey doesn't know that, unfortunately for him Anyways! Thanks for enjoying this really long response comment-
i one concept i've been thinking is that you WOULDNT be able to tire him out to stop the dodging, you would have to use and act (like, idk, plucking him out of the ground) to get him back at the fight, THEN you would be able to actually hit him a little, repeating that until he dies
him decaying with each successful hit and STILL trying to go fight honestly fits, he's a being of determination AND he's probably letting his spite and rage over being denied his happy ending fuel him as he desperately tries to end us
@@Clover-212 the best way to do it would be implementing the act thing but add a few in between decaying sprites or making him tank a few hits before he decays, because as much as the game wants us to belive, flowey is kinda strong (going back, now thinking, how the fuck did flowey tank a fireball to the face being A FLOWER? i think he is really tough to endure that, if it makes sense it reinforces my theory)
@@daviviana862 It also makes sense, have in mind that he also tanks geno frisk like nothing, HELLO?!? lil bro is op, i really like the idea of a flowey fight tbh
I love the underlying guitar throughout the whole thing. It just makes it feel so desperate, grunge-y, and hopeless. Like even though the melodies carry it and portray the power and anger Flowey feels, it still ultimately feels like a losing battle, and I absolutely love that!
* Something New * He should know it's over * You asked him why he's standing in your way. He doesn't know himself * You start to feel frustrated with his talking seriously sick them
Okay, I feel like my last comment didn’t really express WHAT I like about this… Okay, first off, it just sounds so Flowey. The cheerful little modification of Your Best Friend at the beginning that immediately gets intercepted with bass from Your Best Nightmare. The main melody just feels very Flowey as well, don’t really know how to describe it. The drops and leaps just feel bouncy in a really “Flowey” way. And then the His Theme in the background… Also! The freaking breakcore drums! And of course, it’s not a good Flowey fight theme without a little big of Asgore’s motif! And Toriel’s running over it? And the Once Upon a Time section? Just. Perfect. Gosh, this is so good! And it doesn’t feel all that intense, really nailing in the mood. This isn’t some big final battle for the sake of monsterkind, this is Flowey trying to survive. Love it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! The reason the main melody feels so Flowey is because it is a heavy, and I do mean heavy, modification of Flowey's motif. It hits most of the same notes, just with a lot more notes in between them. Then of course I added the slide notes to give it a lot more of a distinct feeling. And yes, just a touch of Toriel is sprinkled into Asgore's motif.
@@canthatewhatyoucantsee1834 That would explain it! For some reason I thought it was related to a Mettaton motif, but now that I listen to it I can hear that it’s ybf.
“It’s kill or be killed after all HAHA I THOUGHT YOU WOULD’VE GOTTEN BORED BUT NOOOO YOU WANTED TO SEE MORE… YOU AREN’T CHARA THATS CLEAR” (Flowey is absolutely terrified but giving it his all)
I thought of it more as a brave face he was putting on in a last ditch attempt at scaring the player/Chara. In this timeline, the whole "new home discussion" never happened, so he never broke down like he did there. (Plus, his scary face is way more fun to draw then his scared face)
@@canthatewhatyoucantsee1834 Do it have been still possible even with the "new home discussion" but he realizes the player themselves aren't Chara but someone else?
@@canthatewhatyoucantsee1834 honestly it'd be cool if you drew an extra one that slowly faded in as the video played on his "scary face", except now it's more blatantly strained (asriel's genuinely stressed over this fight) and flowey's face is starting to "melt" (he's sweating bullets from the exertion and the knowledge of everything that's on the line)
This is one of the best fanmade Flowey themes I've ever heard. Also, given by the graphics, it looks like this would be a fight where he doesn't have the souls, either. Amazing work.
That’s a good idea. It would have both sides of the fight giving it their all knowing that it is all or nothing. Although I feel that instead of right after asgore this fight could take place in the barrier, where the souls are. So in the phase two flowey would use them. So that phase two would be less of a “I need to save them”and more of “Last ditch effort to save myself” kind of phase two if you get what I mean
I'm just wondering if Flowey has the souls here or not. The Asgore fight would probably be very quick, so there might not be enough time for Flowey to grab them. If no, then there's a possibility for a genocide Omega/Photoshop Flowey fight (and song!) where he does manage to get them. Also, love this! too many Megalovania remixes out there anyway.
This is SO FREAKING GOOD. It manages to perfectly balance the off-ness of Flowey's themes and leitmotifs with sounding genuinely good. And while it is recognizably a Flowey track, it's unique to the other ones seen in the main game and fangames: he's not some malevolent god like in Your Best Nightmare or Afterlife, nor is he trying to deceive you like in Your Best Friend. He's not god, but he's gotten SERIOUS, and he's fighting back. Also, the use of the slash sound effects right before the beat drops is SO well done. (hmmmm... so, here's an idea for a mechanic in a fight using this theme. Flowey is capable of dodging your attacks, but if you get a PERFECT strike, then he can't avoid it in time and he gets hit. He's bulky, but not bulky enough: if you're using the True Knife, it'll only take a few slashes and he's OUT. It would reflect how he would likely be used to fighting from the player's side of the menu, dodging attacks but not being perfect at it like Sans seems to be.)

Despite the fact that Frisk has "Determination", they still have ONE weakness. The weakness is you. YOU are in complete control of Frisk, meaning You have what people have, emotions. One of these emotions is angriness, or rage. If you are too angry, you'll give up. And then your opponent... wins.

I also think his undodgable attacks work like betrayal kills, they wouldn't work during his fight. But I feel like he'd make minor annoying changes like adjusting the brightness or other random meta things.
Given that Flowey can just burrow underground and go somewhere else, he quite literally has no excuse as for why he didn't dodge at least the first attack in the geno route

It’s truly a missed must for the empty-pacifist play-through. Imagine all the fourth wall meta-disses Flowey barraging at evil players. Perhaps a plot-twist of the pellet boy intending to merge with human souls to free the monsters and seal the player underground for the monster they have become.
Finished off his father Asgore didn't won flowey any favor with the human they'll still strike him down anyway now he gonna try to fight back with everything in his arsenal
1:22 ONCE UPON A TIME LEITMOTIF SPOTTED!!! LET'S GOOOO sick theme by the way, love the art for this. his smile... ough... it sounds so MELANCHOLIC and nostalgic, especially when the leitmotifs become blatantly obvious. tragic and fitting for a genocide after pacifist... is the main beat supposed to be a megalovania remix? because it really fits! also oh my god i just read the description. poor asriel. he HAS to know at this point that chara or frisk was never real, that it was always the PLAYER that he was venting his traumas out to, that helped him and everyone only to take their happy ending away out of the same curiosity that previously drove him forwards i guess he might consider it fitting that he dies against someone as apathetic and as ruthless as he used to be. only this time, he isn't going down without a fight. to be honest i think it'd make sense for flowey to try and copy his photoshop flowey/asriel dreemurr attacks with his pellets, managing to do so out of sheer willpower just to try and throw you off your game. also maybe he'd surround you with a ring of pellets at the end of every other turn to guarantee damage on you. also maybe the flavor text would constantly flip-flop between calling him "flowey" and "asriel" as, on some level, chara truly doesn't want to hurt their best friend and it bleeds into their narration (inspired by the genocide flowey fight that uses vetrom's finale for his boss theme) * FLOWEY stands in the way! * ASRIEL stands in the way! * FLOWEY glares at you hatefully, smiling forcefully while gritting his teeth. * ASRIEL stares at you strangely, frowning sadly while furrowing his brow. * How hard is it to stop toying with your food? * Just make it quick.
i just realized that some games dont use the same amen breaks. the amen break in this ust (u in ust means unoriginal) is using kinda same ultrakill break samples
I was wondering why this was so familiar outside of it being the leitmotifs, then I realized some of the music sounds similar to FireWave's tracks for New Melody, his Binding of Isaac soundtrack mod.
All these genocide takes would be the coolest thing ever. One tiny problem with ALL of them You’re the one who’s in control, who’s stronger. They can’t dodge, only sans could do that and in return gets one shot. Flowey doesn’t have that luxury, he can’t just go to the ground. As we see when he leaves In neutral he uses some sort of feet (probably vines deatached). Flowey cannot avoid your attacks and so would just get one shot

@@mishagaming1075 did you ignore the fact that flowey had to “run” away with footsteps instead of submerging. He can be smart all he wants he hasn’t shown he can dodge

I would imagine,in this fight considering he remembers LOADS and RESETS.

Love the theme, and the concept of this has always been intriguing to me.
Ohh so if you die and restart you can’t just know the first attack immediately?
@@DeterminedBlade pretty much yeah.
The first attack could be the last attack, the last could be the first, etc
Unlike sans who can only predict loads (like when he reads your expression) (most people think he fully remembers he just predicts)
i got another idea, what if flowey was ALSO able to access at least one or two souls after calling for help against frisk? like, obviously not enough to turn him into asriel, or even photoshop flowey, but enough to JUST let him emulate some of his attacks from his two stronger forms to stand a chance against you + act as failsafes in case he fails to dodge an attack
like what if there were different difficulties where flowey gets one/two souls and the souls change with each difficulty, since the souls would also be pitching in with their own attacks instead of just boosting flowey's stats
i imagine justice and perseverance would be the most fitting souls to help flowey, as being torn from the true pacifist ending would likely nearly break flowey's spirit as he sees us go on a no mercy route, only for him to collect himself and vow to put an end to our "game" before anything irreversible happens. he PERSEVERES through his own struggles for the sake of the world. and he'd also want to get JUSTICE for everyone, both from the previous timeline and this one.
also, clover would probably willingly help flowey regardless if they realized their "best friend" was literally fighting for the fate of the world in the other room lol
Sounds good. It gives off the feeling that Flowey is absolutely trying here. There's no glee in that smile he's giving. It seems like a cover for his fear of Chara. This would realistically happen after you kill Asgore, so he has definitely felt that fear.
you mean, after HE kills asgore? he STOLE our kill! THAT'S the real reason I WANNA HACK HIM TO BITS
i feel like the smile would be pretty strained after the fight drags on for long enough, and he'll probably occasionally switch back to the scared, distressed face he uses in the original genocide run when telling chara to back off before quickly going back to his "scary" face as an intimidation tactic
at this point, asriel's truly got his back against the wall. no souls, no powers, nothing. he's just trying to stall you... for as long as he can... to see what'll finally get you to quit.
flowey's dumbass remembering he can spam an undodgable attack as many times as he wants
TLDR: no, you can't, because flowey's not stupid enough to give you the opportunity to cheat
@@EEE.654 Mb undertale yellow was so good I forgot it was a fan game. Anyways we are way too strong for flowery to kill us in one attack even if he spams unfair attacks we would still get our turn before he is able to kill us allowing us to get a hit in and even if he could flowey would eventually go insane he would be testing his determination against ours who can keep going for longer and we have more determination we would win in that battle and if flowey were to make one mistake he loses 1 is all a lv 20 frisk/chara need to put him down flowey would need the help of an outside source to stand any chance.

Within UT a lot of the monsters have attacks which can be dodged with difficulty usually varying depending on who the monster is
(Except Undyne but that's because of the 'Green Soul' thing in which you block against her attacks)
In Flowey's case, however, rather that attacking you with a similar style of attacking ~ He completely cages you in with a ring of pellets that slowly close in on you, an attack which, realistically, you probably *wouldn't* have been able to avoid ~ You don't really dodge it either actually lol, It's Toriel who saves you. Sure, that could be an example of Flowey just playing dirty, but I think it's also rather smart on his end to utilize a move that you *cannot* dodge, ensuring his victory.
(I'm not sure if he does the pellet cage in regards to if you do/don't collect the pellet though, I forgot)
Uncorrelated to whether or not he's smart, the creator does state that he is capable of popping in/out of the ground to evade the players attacks like Sans, which would also play into my beliefs a little.
(Also, thanks for the reply lol ~ Nerding out every now and then is something I find quite fun to do, so I'm glad there's someone else who equally has a fondness/joy for doing so.)
(I personally think it's a really good way to spark interesting ideas and/or conversations like this as well.)
@@polishscribe674 Interesting, that'd make a lot of sense lol and equally fits Flowey as someone unafraid to resort to a underhanded tactic like that.
I mean the face thing seems cool but the demonic transformation doesn't have sense in the genocide route concept
@adridoes_sillystuff True, through what if was more reminder to "us" the player, we should know "we're" the villain in all this? Or perhaps it's a flash of Chara's new viewpoint? Edit: fixed a part of the text that didn't make much sense

Trap as in, finish off Asgore's SOUL so that you can't win even if you kill him, because you'll be stuck in the Underground forever...
Basically intentionally ruining everything by killing Asgore instead of accidentally like in normal Genocide route lmao

1. Nope, only Boss Monsters retain their souls after death for just a moment, and Asgore is the last one left

This is INCREDIBLE and i love all your ideas in the description so much. It feels so him.
Absolutely my favorite iteration of flowey's song!
I love the underlying guitar throughout the whole thing. It just makes it feel so desperate, grunge-y, and hopeless. Like even though the melodies carry it and portray the power and anger Flowey feels, it still ultimately feels like a losing battle, and I absolutely love that!

* You asked him why he's standing in your way. He doesn't know himself

Okay, I feel like my last comment didn’t really express WHAT I like about this…
Okay, first off, it just sounds so Flowey.

This theme, is so great for this idea of the fight!
Why does everyone make Flowey smile in geno fight stuff? Does no one remember how terrified he was during geno?
I thought of it more as a brave face he was putting on in a last ditch attempt at scaring the player/Chara. In this timeline, the whole "new home discussion" never happened, so he never broke down like he did there. (Plus, his scary face is way more fun to draw then his scared face)
It's more so him smiling to hide his fear then?

“Finally, I beat sans and- THIS FUCKING FLOWER IS ALIVE?!”
This is one of the best fanmade Flowey themes I've ever heard. Also, given by the graphics, it looks like this would be a fight where he doesn't have the souls, either. Amazing work.
I LOVE this!! Probably making top 5 for fanmade Flowey fight themes!
Imagine the other Souls willingly work with Flowey if you've done enough Genocide runs. Thatd be cool i think
Maybe a possible phase two would be fighting his omega/photoshop form with the difference being he *wont* revive you after killing you
That’s a good idea.
@@Kris_dreemur1738I kinda pictured this music video taking place after you decimate Asgore, so yeah, It probably would take place at the barrier.
Flowey could be such a formidable final foe if he wasn't a reborn crybaby
“Howdy! It’s me…”
“your last friend.”
This is SO underrated

All these genocide takes would be the coolest thing ever. One tiny problem with ALL of them
You’re the one who’s in control, who’s stronger. They can’t dodge, only sans could do that and in return gets one shot. Flowey doesn’t have that luxury, he can’t just go to the ground. As we see when he leaves In neutral he uses some sort of feet (probably vines deatached). Flowey cannot avoid your attacks and so would just get one shot
he could do anything he could to not get hit, like covering the fight option with vines or blocking the hit with vines or vines something
did
did you ignore all the times where flowey goes inside the ground?
Not to mention flowey is still smart, and he has a LOT of experience with genocides, so he probably knows loopholes to stand a chance (not really) against one.
@@mishagaming1075 did you ignore the fact that flowey had to “run” away with footsteps instead of submerging.
He can be smart all he wants he hasn’t shown he can dodge
@@zodiinitebestupid only sans could do that cause he breaks the game. A flowey with 0 souls can’t
I feel like the fans forget that it’s a tradeoff
Sans has: 1 hp, 1 def, 1 atk
So he gets: menu attacking (can’t kill), poison, and the ability to dodge (it’s not as easy as it sounds)
Asgore breaks the mercy button
So he gets 2 ways to lower his attack, butterscotch pie and talking.
Flowey doesn’t have much to GIVE, so he can’t tradeoff anything
Cocinaste bien duro
I found your channel a few days ago and it was the best thing that i founded... I literally hear your covers every single day, and just one question, which music box you use in your songs?
I use the Celesta from the SGM soundfont
