Use this simple HACK to understand native Russian speakers

When I came to Russia the first time, I found it difficult to understand native speakers. I didn't even understand where a word started, and where a word ended.
Now a couple of years later, I understand almost any native Russian speaker. I watch movies and series without subtitles. I can even listen to full audiobooks in Russian.
Today we're talking about the main exercises that helped me a lot to improve my spoken Russian.

I really appreciate that you've added subtitles to this video. I've been learning Russian for about a year and I can understand quite a bit. But it's really useful to quickly scan the Russian and English subtitles depending on which parts I don't understand. I will watch this video several times until I can listen and understand everything without reading.

Thanks! That's great to hear. I haven't yet decided if I will continue to make all videos from now on in Russian or English. This video took me 5 hours to make, and if it would've been in English I could've done it in 1 hour.

У меня большой опыт в изучении иностранных языков. Я понимаю, что процесс изучения родного язык детьми сильно отличается от изучения иностранного языка взрослыми и подростками. Лично, когда начинаю изучение нового языка, я слушаю только носителей, которые говорят с совершенно правильным и точным произношением. То есть, не терплю ни диалекты ни невнятное произношение. Конечно, потом необходимо понимать более широкий круг носителей данного языка. Поздравляю вас с изучением русского языка, Знаю, что в Нидерландах тратят много на изучение английского языка. Поэтому, неудивительно, что вы владеете этим языком, Но как вы говорите по-русски просто замечательно!
