This young man comes very close to Chester Bennington. As with Chester, you can feel the pain in his scream. LP should get him and work with him. He sings like an angel and screams like the devil. Just great 🖤🎧 Just like him, you feel the pain because he transports it authentically. Just great, can't get enough. I think he would be a worthy successor to Chester and could revive LP. Nobody can replace Chester, but this young man is damn close. He gave me goosebumps like only Chester could.

The original was to me as if someone full of rage was running headlong to take the fight to the enemy. This version to me is them returning from the battle realizing that they were not the same person who went to fight. Hope that makes sense. Speaking from life experience here as well.

But it's imo almost a "stand alone" version which only exists because there WAS an original. An anthem for the time. This is now a more relevant version for the chaos, confusion and fear of THIS time. Very different but can't be judged against the original. 💜

I think you're misusing the word "emotion". I would not say Papa Roaches song is "upbeat", which means optimistic... It has a faster tempo yes,, but I feel it conveys frustration, teenage angst/anger at the world. Whereas Ronnie's rendition plays on the idea isolation and the sense of hopelessness, confusion, or sadness it can bring. Two types of emotions on either side of the coin.
Fr tho, jacoby should feel a little embarassed that he buried the meaning too deep behind a more cheesy emo sound. Granted, like some say, his was a younger, angstier vibe(and target demographic) and he was also probably heavily controlled by a label; "ok, this one's too sad mr. Seenitdoneit85 seems to forget that today’s artists have something called advanced technology. I grew up in about the same time period as Seenit and can say this was a Masterpiece both in quality of the video and music composition. There are common arguments over who did it better with every generation. Word, we’re not living in that time period when we were younger. One can be proud of the era they grew up in without throwing shade on other generations.
