I've been around long enough to remember a time around 1991 when the tempo of some dance music went skywards. One of the downsides of this in my opinion, was the lack of room to move in much of the dance music that emerged after that time. The first thing that struck me about this version of this song, however, is that it doesn't seem to suffer from that problem. I think it clocks in at around 127 bpm - yet there's room to move in there. I think the dancer in the empty room in the video is a perfect metaphor for this, come to think of it...
