  • Irish rugby legend turned broadcaster Tommy Bowe and Irish international football stars Katie McCabe and Ruesha Littlejohn joined Neil Treacy in studio.
The discussion ranged from Katie and Ruesha's coming out stories to a discussion around Israel Folau's homophobic comments and the need for young people to have sporting role models who are members of the LGBT community.
All three have been supporting Aviva Pride and its message, #SafeToDream. Aviva Pride is an employee-led initiative encouraging everyone to ‘Spend energy being themselves, not hiding it”.
Aviva Ireland’s Hatch Street office is to light up for Pride in tandem with the Aviva Stadium.

At around 8:00 you say there is a conservative minority who back folau, how could you possibly know? Those who said anything have either been disciplined or have had to retract their support and vunipola was under fire from the like of yourselves in such a way that you put his employment in jeopardy!
No one on the opposite end can voice their opinion with out you guys in the media condemning them as committing acts of hate speech!
Seriously do you even think about what you say?

@John Mullane comment is a bit pointless. You have anything to actually say about the subject or do you just want to scoff and be all pleased with yourself?

Folau was part of the team, who's taking the time to understand him? He has the right to have his own opinion and belief, he has the right to tell people that. Would you have him not be able to express himself just cause you don't agree with it? Is that fair? Cause now he's being shunned by the great so called inclusive game for his religious belief.
RA say he's entitle to those beliefs but he just can't tell people, seems very unfair to not be able to publically express who you are.
He didn't slam anyone either. As far as he's concerned he's trying to tell people the truth.
He's committed no act against anyone. He's done nothing wrong.

You don't get to have an opinion on gay people, it's like having an opinion on people of colour. It's homophobic if you discriminate against the lgbt community and it's racism to discriminate against people of colour. End of.

@@SarahDempz didn't discriminate though. Plus he got paid millions anyway so it's over now. And he's got a new job where he just scored a try on debut in a sport he hasn't played for 10 years.

@@jeffjefferson3364 Cool, that doesn't take away from my point. Still homophobic.

@@SarahDempz that's not true. You are saying his belief that homosexuality is a sin means that he hates gay people and that's just not true.
