Any concept that revolves around rebellion it going to be predictable. Here’s why, rebellion as you said is to go against the norms and if you take norms for example in kpop and rebel against the after one person does it it gets repetitive especially if it’s not going against “serious” topics like g-idle.

@@Ddeonubread i get it but I also see it as rebellion just being subjective. G-Idles rebellion might not be the same as EXO’s rebellion, which is what makes it seem more unpredictable to me- maybe the trope of just being a rebel is oversaturated in k-pop but teen rebellion hasn’t been a concept ive seen done in 5th gen kpop that often. (songs like BND’s dangerous being an example, and at that, that was just a b-side.)

@@Ddeonubread and plus, what defines a “serious topic”? A teenager’s struggle can co-exist and be just as serious as adult struggles- or maybe im just saying things, im not too sure

If all K-pop songs are predictable, why do you waste your time paying any attention to them?

@@ginapark9902 are you dumb? I never said I didn’t like K-pop just that they are easy music theory wise.
