Great lesson sir, I have a question.. Do we need long nails on our left hand to play Sarod?

Nice to hear from you. Usually we need nails to get the sharp tone of the instrument. Very few people also play with the pad - finger tip. It doesn't give you that desired tone.

Every Gharana is unique you should learn from the Gharana which appeals you most.
