I think it might have something to do with culture of skinship as to why some people sexualise it. Where I'm from, men would only act like this if they were romantically/sexually attracted to that person.

This is the most accurate short description of their nature. Kind of makes sense for the guy who was so so young when they started and the one who just up and decided to be a big brother regardless of their careers. Even Namjoon has said that they can't seem to leave each other alone. RM gave up trying to reign them in long long ago.
