@@ZillaBlitzPC Eastern Washington state is called the Scablands and there is an interesting story behind it all caused by Water. Here's the story. No one for a while could figure out why the Scablands indicated that a lot of water came through fast. It turns out that the Ice Age was responsible for it. Where Mousula Montana is there was a MASSIVE lake sealed by a GIANTIC DAM OF ICE. The biggest dam currently on this planet is a pond compared to the ice reservoir. As it got hotter the ice melted eventually causing a layer of water between the bottom of the ice and the ground. and eventually CRACK! the whole ice dam failed and it sent giant waves towards Washington. in fact those rolling hills in montana are a result of that. cool, right?

Good to see you back in PM again and what a nice drive it was to the Faroes which are owned by Denmark. Great work on the perfect delivery as well mate.
Thanks! It's been such a long time without a perfect delivery. I feel like I should be getting those pretty consistently, but Mexico has been a challenge. :)
Sorry for the slow reply, I was moving to Indiana. :) I'm looking forward to Iceland, and bring on those slippery roads. What could possibly go wrong. ;)
This was a stunning drive. I looked up the left side of the road vs right side map and Englad is in the minority by a lot. I am excited to see Arkansas announced (where I live) and the Quachitas and Ozarks should present a challenge. On a channel update I passed 2.5m views today....lol so I guess my channel does have potential. Working on a narrated/timelapse merge, hopefully have it up this week.
It'd be a blast to see one's home state get made into a DLC. I'm really curious to see what they'll do with Minnesota, when they eventually get there. And congrats on the 2.5m views, fantastic accomplishment and way more than my channel has. :)
Maybe too late, but before going to Iceland you might consider getting at 6x4 truck if you already don't have one. Gives more traction on the snow and slush.
Is that a factor in the game, though? I thought that the road surface didn't really cause issues with the wheels in game? At least at the default settings perhaps?
@@ZillaBlitzPC Just realized you were probably asking if the game properly simulates the difference between a 4x2 and a 6x4 (rather than slippery roads). I don't actually know. A pulling contest uphill in Iceland in the slush with identical trucks (one 4x2 the other 6x4) with the same load would be interesting. The only reason I thought about all this is I was driving in the Middle East add-on in Lebanon and there was a mountain pass with packed and blowing snow, something I didn't expect. Happy Trucking!
Thanks for all the information! It would be a fun experiment to try. I think my response was a little bit of both angles (roads in general and then differences in the trucks). :)
This all looks so cool. I'm assuming you would have if you could, but can you not sleep on a really long ferry ride? I know in real life, I think I would. Edit: Oh, I see you address this later! Ok, never mind. :)
Ha! No worries. I think the game counts time on the ferry as sleeping, so a 2-hour ferry is like 2 hours of sleep. Maybe. I've never been totally sure. :)
The biggest mods for the game that are not ProMods are Road to Asia, Road to Africa, RusMap, and RoExtended (though RoExtended overwrites a lot of ProMods in Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, and other places unless you use the road connections made by ProMods that literally JUST came out. Some other bigger ones are Java Road Revolution, SRMap, SibirMap, and VolgaMap. There are a bunch of other smaller ones I use too but I won't list them all here haha. One other big one is Russia Open Spaces, but I'm not sold on that one. It has a bug that causes Russian traffic to show up all over the map no, even as far as Spain, and a lot of the areas in the mod are kind of copy/paste. Not all of them, but enough to notice. Kind of reminds me of Coast to Coast in that way.
So I've been experimenting, and I think I've got a long load order that's pretty solid and seems to be stable. Hopefully this is of some use if you want to either expand the mod list in this series or make a new GLOBAL video series. This took a LONG time to write up haha. This assumes you are using the free version of RoExtended and you want ProMods to override RoExtended in areas where they overlap. Also I'm personally quite fond of Maghreb Map, but I think it might have some issues with a few other map mods in this list. One other thing, the road connection in this list between RusMap and ProMods is from the RusMap developer. ProMods makes their own as well, but it isn't updated for 1.48 yet. NOTE I haven't tested this extensively yet, but I didn't see any broken roads on the map after installing all of the mods and my initial few drives in a new save file with this load order worked fine. I have used all of these mods for a long time, but obviously with any new update and with any change in the load order, there is potential for issues. But it'll be a fun experiment! Haha. EDIT: SibirMap is updated but I don't have it in my load order yet.
My apologies for the slow reply! Thanks so much for sharing all this. I've created a Google doc from it, and will look through and think about possible additions. Some of these look fantastic. I'm really intrigued by the idea of Road to Africa in particular. This is super helpful, thank you again! :)
@@ZillaBlitzPC I actually made one change since. There's a mod called Universal Fix & Localization, found on Trucky. I use that in the place of the Belarus Timezone fix now. Apparently it fixes timezones and country flags, and covers MOST localization into English, except for RoExtended and AZGE. So far so good, but my modded profile is still young. I also edited the comment above yesterday to add in Horn of Africa. It should make the two iso code mods unnecessary as well.
You can connect The Great Steppe naturally by road by installing RusMap and some of the other mods in that region like VolgaMap, SRMap, and SibirMap. No fake ferry required, but it's a long drive. I believe RoExtended and AZGE also connect, but you need to use a specific load order and road connections just recently released by ProMods if you don't want RoExtended content to override ProMods content, and personally I think ProMods is higher quality.
I've used MOST of the mods from the global mod combo from GMC Logistics for a long time. It's pretty crazy driving across Europe and half of Asia and then down into Africa.
