Question: one player's card in hand have to be revealed to other players? For example, during a share knowledge action.
There is one big thing to note, on the 10th Anniversary edition there's a misprint. A connection is supposed to exist from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok.
Can you only move 1 space per turn? We played this a few times and it seems way to easy. Also does trading multiple cards count as 1 turn? An as for research the cure: Does that stop new cubes from coming out?

@1:55 - how do you know how many cards go into the piles? That wasn’t mentioned in the video (don’t have the rule book on hand). Do you use all the cards until you have none left?
If so, it seems like you could just shuffle the correct # of epidemic cards into the whole pile and save a lot of time.
@@nobutur I realize after editing my question I botched it. I was looking for an explanation on the text, "Stack piles in the player deck, starting with smaller piles first." At the time I didn't get why this step was relevant but, it makes sense the final epidemic card is in the smallest pile.
Minor detail: one of the research stations needs to be put on Atlanta. The video shows the research station already there when the pawns are put there, but this fact is never explicitly stated. Like I said, minor.
My wife and I love playing this game. We often play it in restaurants when we go out to eat. We have the edition you show on your right. The 10th anniversary edition has some nice things (e.g. the character pawns, the petri dishes for the disease cubes, and the "picture" of the disease on the markers), but I'm not a fan of the muted colors they use (especially for the city cards).

Pandemic: The game everybody gets to play!
The 10th anniversary doesn’t play well with the expansions because it’s cards look different unless you cover up the back with an opaque sleeve which makes it look ugly. It’s a completists purchase if you want to just play the base game for display purposes like they do here.

Confession time: I played this game wrong for years. I misunderstood the way the researcher's power worked. Apparently I'm not the only one that made that mistake, so I take some solace in that.
For me, this game is part of the "Big 3" - the three games in position 3-5 of my favorites. The exact position of the three depends on which one I've had a good game of lately.

If anyone is interested a site called c3i that produces new rules for war games and has a magazine has a covid 19 game rules scenario for pandemic FREE on their site. Google c3i ops center. It should come up with the magazine. Go to the store and then “e book versions”

Apparently China has lost this game and challenging everyone other country to try this
I felt like we were cheating somehow because we were winning easily. But after adding more epidemic cards it got a lot tougher. We Still won everytime but we really had to handle research centers and special abilities correctly. Great walkthrough. Thanks ya smokin hot betty.

See my friends and I cannot play this game because we learned how to break it. Meaning: max difficulty, randomized roles, and as little as 3 players; no matter what the games throw at us we learned how to overcome it.
It will be nice to see this game again on Geek and Sundry

You didn't look for this, but you saw it and you clicked it because corona.
The odds of winning this game are very small. (We had two players.). Even after you cure the diseases, they are still popping up in other cities because you have to continue infecting them as the last part of your turn. And a player does not have sufficient moves to clear off the rapidly spreading diseases. In my opinion, the designer has a sick mind and you just have to change the rules if you actually want to have fun with this one. We changed it to where the infect stage only involves one card. In addition, near the end of the game just make sure not to use any of the seven cards in your hand and you won't run out of player cards (which would cause a lost game.)
