Do you mean "Why the verse is cut/shortened"? The lyrics is not a quotation but prayer based on Ps 104, 30. Note, that the verse is a statement (you send your Spirit") and the lyrics of the song is request ("come Spirit of God"). You can also ask Taize Community. It's not me who has written the lyrics.
