Sir, as motor rated full load current is 15 A and you have taken 25% extra means 18.5 A. So generally at the starting motor may pull 18.5 A, so this is on higher side. Now standard mcb u selected is C 20A. C 20 mcb will trip when current is 5-10 times. Means if current is 20*5=100A then mcb will trip. So this will be useless bcz if motor current exceeds 25A it may damage motor... So I think we should select mcb with lower ratings

Let, FLC= 26Amp
MCB rating: 50%of FLC= 13Amp
Therefore= (13 + 26)= 39 Amp
