Shit is fuckin crazy how instrumentals come together and produce something that dope. I love how shit is made. this beat was definitely made for chance to rock it
These videos hold up so well. I think this was the Red Camera era of videos; they are so well done. As an editor and beatmaker I r really appreciate the dedication to all aspects of the craft. Jake Uno for the win
Most of y'all don't know Jake One's history in the UNDERGROUND in the late 90's and early 2000's. To see him working with the top mainstream artists is really great. This is the ideal path. Point being, industry heads aside, the real know the real.
most of us? lol. i hate hip hop gate keepers like you who act like they are the first or few who know hip hop history. STOP IT. you are just a fan just like the rest of us.
big ol' and the JOHN CENA THEME SONG. 😂😂😂. But fr, if you google his producer credits you’ll be amazed. He’s got a lot of great tracks. He just doesn’t do beat break downs of the bigger records
I have checked like 20 videos of tutorials of how ASR-10 works...i just got it now from this video. Instead of multichopping a whole bunch of samples you get one chop and you use it in different octaves and usually by completing the vocal cord, unlike on other machines that you sometimes chop the vocal midways. Interesting machine indeed.
Zaxaroplastis the ASR 10 & MpC 3000 was my throwback set up.... The fact that he’s using a machine that’s over 20 years old amazes me. I don’t care that he moves his track to pro tools & put the finishing touches on it. It’s such a lethal way to do tracks w/out leaving your roots, mad respect. That being said, I would never go back to that set up... Serato sample & Ableton is the ASR 10 & MpC on steroids for me.
@@djallstyle Just found Serato Studio as my main "DAW" and now i am planning on getting my first hardware,ASR-X (that thing sounds amazing) and i would easily like to move to DAWless setups. Gemerally ensoniq has got my attention, mirage sounds amazing and it can be easily compared to sp-1200(well not necessarily better but comparable for sure).EPS16+ and ASR-10 are colourfull too and every job that comes of them without the help of a daw just feels unique.I don't know if I am cutting my own speed with the choice of the old samplers but i am invested into them for real.
Zaxaroplastis i respect that. I had to change w/the times. Please don’t get the ASR X. I bought that many many moons ago. Stick w/the ASR 10(if you’re referring to the drum machine). They put that out trying to compete against the MPC & failed w/it... I suggest trying Serato Studio & Ableton or any top daw (Logic, FL, Cuba’s & etc) Apologies, that’s what I meant. Studio has Sample built in it & Serato still has a lot kinks to work out with it plug in wise. I love working with it & can’t wait for the near future updates & fixes. However, one or the other You’ll easily be untouchable for whatever genre, U want to cook up. When they make Serato Studio be able to open inside of Any main daw, it’s Lights out!! Stay blessed...
@@djallstyle Yeah i started up with Serato Studio and it is definitely the closest software to the classic hardware samplers. ASR-10 is just amazing no question on that, but right now the best deal you can find is about 1000eu.ASR-X is just a dream i know for most of it's flows and they are too many, but from what I've seen up to today's knowledge we have about it(plus the OS updates and the imports updates, usb etc.) that machines seems decent, limited enough to get you more creative and even if it ends up too messed for me to work with it,I will have to get an mpc 2500 so i can use ASR-X as a secondary sampler, because the filters and the A/D converter makes everything sound like a beauty. But this is pretty much the dream combo ASR-X/MPC 2500 for the main works,Mirage for the drums and serato studio for whatever else i need that hardware-wise i don't have. Stay healthy pal.
Zaxaroplastis well, ok if that makes your workflow work. Get it... Me coming out of that 90’s era..... U had to be creative because that’s all we had. I can never dump on Ensoniq ASR 10, but I can’t do floppy disk & Zip drives any more. I have a terabytes of samples plus Max’d out my ram on my Mac... The time it takes to load & edit a sample, I’ll simply forget the original idea. Best wishes & keep going at it.
Everytime i open fuckin youtube snarejordan is in my feed showing yet another fucking beat he made that i didnt know he made and blows my mind yet again lol he is very low key and underrated
Jake, you are inspiring man. I used to make beatz like you, but I learned Theory and it messed up creative process. But that only means Im progressing to the next level of music... Been home studying for quite a while now. I need to document my beats as well. Thank you.
I went to music school and struggled to make beats afterwards. Started over analyzing things. I'm really struggling to break out of that. I'm glad I have an understanding of harmony etc however
Sorry I'm bumping this late, but what would you guys recommend to a guy hasn't touched theory yet? What path should I choose when it comes to playing keys?
well if you can play by ear, and you want to make beats Id say you're cool wit that, but for me I wanted to learn than just making beats. Idk bro I like to play instruments so I had to learn theory.
I noticed he likes the metronome clicking in double time which basically means eighth notes. The clicks become a straight eighth hi-hat. It makes sense to me and seems easier to follow. Unfortunately, DAWs usually don't want to click 8th notes without tell it the song is twice as fast as it is.
Hey Jake, I recently purchased ur Snare Jordan drum kits, I saw the woodblock, but it doesn't sound like it does here. Do I have to EQ it?? PLEASE RESPOND BRUH
Russell Sonsara .. nah bro he said "the guitar part that my little homie Swish played".. dude's name is Swish... same cat Jake worked with on the Swish & Chips sample packs.

+mattglo420 So simple yet so elegant.

Jake One is such a slept on producer, his ear and technique is breathtaking at times, he's on the same level as 9th Wonder, Illmind, M-Phazes, etc..
I think he’s the best out of that group, in my opinion
@@henryleonardo3544 Better than 9th? Ehh idk about that but I think he's better than M-Phazes
Honestly i think jake one surpasses all those guys he is in his own lane

when his metronome comes on it sounds like im watchin porn haha
Def seen that "disk data corrupted" when try and load and old ASR10 floppy disk. Why I bought an SD Card drive for it.
goodISH J.O

It does
Hey Jake, I recently purchased ur Snare Jordan drum kits, I saw the woodblock, but it doesn't sound like it does here. Do I have to EQ it?? PLEASE RESPOND BRUH
Eq with Good mid and hi. and some reverb. Subtle reverb though. I can hear it in his track
Thanks ^
The little homie switchblade lol idk why I got a kick out of that. This dude is ill on the ASR-10. Thx
Russell Sonsara .. nah bro he said "the guitar part that my little homie Swish played".. dude's name is Swish... same cat Jake worked with on the Swish & Chips sample packs.
GROOVY
Am I right in saying he does his tracks in the ASR10 sample and sequence on it
That was a guitar? I thought it was some strings
Where does one find these resources/samples?
Nasty jake...nasty
