I think it is the best overall marker there is. The only downsides are it's not full, there's no refills, it's loud, and they don't make a bigger version. And the caps can be difficult to remove. The closest comparison for refills is the Montana Liquid silver, also oil based and very close in appearance. Also quite cheap, at least in Australia. That's what I refill mine with. I get my PX-30s from Fadebomb in Japan. Only $3 USD. But you do need to buy several things to make the shipping cost worth it. They often throw in a free Uni silver or black when I order stuff!
Interesting you mention the cap, they are sorta hard to open, especially with a glove lol. I'll have to check fadebomb! Thank you for that tip man! I can't wait to get back to Aus one day. One of the best times of my life down there
Fadebomb is definitely the way. You can even get bulk PX-30s for pretty cheap from them (5 for $12).
@@crumplednah 5 for 12 dollars are insane low Price 😮
How long it usually take to get to you?
@@bobspace9358 took about 10 days for me (japan to midwest us)
the uni paint 500 is my fav marker. not because of the paint, but just the how it writes, build quality and it NEVER leaks. can never go wrong
So why is it the most overhyped? The only bad thing you said is that's not full, i believe the title and thumbnail was a bit clickbaity
Rustoleum makes oil based silver that you can refill with. And there are plenty of 9mm nibs to swap with. Also the marker has history and that might bring some ignorant hype but whats that even matter if the marker is great for everyone
@@heavenangell8684 rustoleum oil based paint is not xylene based and the pigment size is a lot bigger, it's not going to flow through a marker unless maybe if it's as thin as water and at that point its def worse than what is in a uni.
I always buy two silver px30 and Fill One into the Other than fill up the empty one with Any paint i got ;)
😲 You are a genius
3:33 I do agree that the fact that PX30 comes half-filled suck BUT you end up with a metal body pen with a good quality valve that you can refill AND the nibs are easy to replace. So not a bad deal imo.
Definitely not a bad deal. Just wish the silver had a refill since it's so nice!
Incase anyone doesnt know, Jetshit makes a solvent based silver and it runs very nicly through the px30s. Its what ive been refilling mine with
nice! Still have to try it out. it's hard to come by where I am
@ScizGraffiti I just bought it straight from their website. I'm living in BC and had no issues with delivery, was a little expensive tho....damn USD.
The silver, violet ink and tar ink are all amazing imo tho.
The only true refill I've seen has been Premium Supply Company's PX30 refill, 16$ for 4oz and 2 extra nibs. It's been my go to for refilling these, formula is almost identical.
Also adding drops of magic ink color refills for them letter halos 👌
you gotta reverse the nib and scrape it on the ground before the ink comes out the nib, the marker writes 10x better and you wont have chisel tip ogs taught me that
Great video Sciz! This is my favorite marker of all time, and thanks for the hit off ! BECK!!
nice! Glad you caught the hit up!
One key thing you forgot to mention is that once you use up all of the stock ink that came in the PX30, then you have yourself a very durable metal body marker (with replaceable nibs available) that will last for years and years of writing! It can handle xylene based ink without ruining your marker, and you can always take out the mixing ball if you want to be more stealthy. Personally, I’ve been refilling mine with MTN Liquid Silver, Liquid Gold, and Liquid Copper. It’s very similar to the Uni formula, (oil based, runs through a nib perfectly) and pretty cheap. Just make sure you wipe off the inside of your cap every so often to prevent it from getting glued shut. I got a 200 mL can for $13 USD. You can also drop some magic ink black in there and you got a killer marker that will knock your MF socks off!!
Yo Wsg bro so yea I fully approve this silver marker but I think those kind of markers would work on smooth surfaces like glass or more
I feel like that I would use it a lot for homemade graffiti the issue is that I’m a grown 18 year old has overprotective parents and I’m strictly forbidden to tag in my hometown I mean low-key I would definitely tag in the streets but I would probably go to jail ether way but yea I hope they have those in the U.K or any European country :)
I think they're pretty universal so I'm sure you can find some at least at an online store on the same continent :)
@@ScizGraffiti nice thanks mate
Sciz with the high quality dank format again.
Thanks for the informative equipment videos!
I just really like the nibs on these.
I wonder how long it would take the Montana liquid silvers to eat the valve?
Thank you! Yeah idk. I think the Montana would hold up fairly well in them
I refill mine with craft smart gilding paint it is perfect for the uni it works wonderfully!, also i recommend ya'll go get yourself some craft smart paint markers the jumbo size they are extremely underrated im surprised not alot of people use them or know about them.
Yeah I was just gonna say i haven't heard of them. I'll definitely have to see if I can find somewhere that has them if they're such a hidden gem haha if not I'm sure online they are somewhere
this is a great overhaul of every aspect of this marker! nice video!
Glad to hear it! Cheers bro!
Here is 3 reasons why I love the uni's ... The oil based paint. 4 me I think it looks dope!! 2. The chisel tip is not cheap it's rugged and is my go to when I'm just routing I stay with 2 colors. Blk and slvr or dope dull color. And all around it's just the durability. I have had 1 for 3half yrs. And have ran every ink I could buy even paint and it's still on standby. New ones u only get like half full maker though, only thing that sux...
I think this is a good video idea for you to do a video on: what is better soft paint stick or hard paintstick or wax marker?
My brother's lips
They come almost empty because of the paint inside, it avoids pure solvent coming out when it separates, gives it more room to mix before hitting the nib when you shake it
I still think they could fit more in there but understandable
Everyone is missing out on the true PX30 killer The FLOMASTER FM20 shorty. It’s made by arromark out of cali.
Same company as the Mighty Markers that everyone is still sleeping on haha. they make good stuff!
i might be wrong but i'm pretty sure GR talked about the Uni PX30 comes less than a half full a couple of time in his vids. anyway... just saying ! interesting test tho !
Could be. He works definitely be the one to be speaking the truth
I've found that the paint and nibs both hold up pretty well on a lot of the surfaces on my city which are kind of on the rougher/dirtier/dustier side, plus the marker just feels comfortable in my hand. Cheap enough that I can justify buying two at a time and dump one into the other, using the empty for another paint mix or some ink I've got (also easy to find replacement nibs). It's probably also worth noting that I use the Uni black (w/ magic ink usually), silver, and white (usually w/ AP garvey) so for me it's more about the marker itself and it being oil-based than it is about the color.
Yeah almost any oil paint seems to hold up a lot better than most other paints. That alone makes it a super good option especially if it writes well
Btw the mtn liquid silver fromula is very similar to the px-30 silver(idk bout the krink one bc i havnt seen it and dont own it)
My personal favorite px30 mod is getting a black px30 and topping it off with a dark ink / UV, becomes extremely juicy
Ima have to try that 😏
6:50
Oh damn, havent seen a vid in a minute. Never expected to see a hitoff 😅
Glad you caught it! I don't forget ;)
The best silver chrome after Uni Paint is Mtn Liquid Silver 200ml Ink.
yeah the Montana stuff looks super awesome and I was told it's oil based too?
@@ScizGraffiti yes, bro. Has a very similar shade to uni paint.
something i do like is the oil based paint its legit covers everything, tho you are very correct its not very full!
Yeah the oil seems to cut through a lot of stuff and not be bothered by grime and dirt. definitely nice to have on hand
Thanks Sciz ur the most helpful tuber out here 😁🙏
Thank you man. I appreciate you :)
One thing I don’t like about my uni is how stuck the lid gets 😂
Yeah lol. It's actually an issue
Got any recommendations for refilling a px 30? Either from the video or anything else that u didn’t mention on here. Financially I don’t wanna replace an entire marker and have ink that doesn’t work with anything I have yk
i kissed my brother in the lips
Magic ink, pilot/marsh, really anything that's thin enough. You can always just dump it out and nibs are easy to get
Lisen i agree with u but cheap suppy is so good for cheap Chinese grap i like it best maker in my opinion people may have diffrents im nyc type style but i do have style this makes it pop
maybe the reason the marker only comes half full is because it has to have room or it might leak maybe? not sure. great video tho!
I think they're just being cheap haha they're valves are pretty reliable. good thinking though for sure
It's a classic because back in the day there was only two 8mm markers that were commonly available. PX30s and Poscas. The cheapest paint/ink concoctions that you could make out of random hardware store paints tended to eat through plastic so for that PX30s were/are superior.
Today ppl use PX30s because of the paint, valve and metal body. There are about 15-20 other 8mm markers that are slightly different or roughly equivalent.
Oh and it takes weeks for Liquid Chrome to cure properly. Uni Paint silver isn't even close to that.
Gs forever inc an premium supply hood brnsds because of this under filling problem
All you need is a good marker body if not cop one of gs
Clash paints grenade silver refill is real fucking cheap, sure the silver isn’t as reflective as more expensive ones but it’s pretty good considering the crazy cheap price
haven't got to try clash yet but ill defs keep that in mind. thanks man
They are kinda like the AK's of markers, very simple but always reliable, the only real problem i've encountered with these is that sometimes you'll get to catch a tag and the nib runs away to start a new life, they fit very loosely and i have lost mine a couple of times :/
px 30 is great
a great marker and my favorite because it’s just super reliable, cheap and even though it comes with so little paint just throw in some magic ink and problem solved😂
edit: not mentioned, but the cap is very prone to getting paint on it which dries up and makes it hard to take the cap off
Good point about the cap. I try to take caps off super carefully for that reason alone and I never wanna get anything on the inside of the cap but it's hard with this one haha
I want to buy my First Tag Marker schuld i buy me the Uni Paint px30 or the Molotow 320pp?
both are good markers. Personally I finds the chisel tips that are the size of the px30 a bit harder to write with so you could get that as a way to start practising early on with a good chisel tip. personal preference though for sure
the thing is, people dont buy it for the paint (hopefully) but for the body, its metal so u can throw and thing corrosive in there and it wont matter, and the tip is super good.
it's nice that the nib is a pretty standard one but it is still too bad there isn't more of the paint
Schiz You should check out and review “colour changing graffiti ink” it’s ink that turns gold on dark surface. Some brands are Fat ink and club ghoul ink
I’d love to see you do experiments with refilling the PX-30 with different solutions. I’ve only ever seen them refilled with magic ink. But that stuff is so hard to get ahold of a lot of the time
Yeah I've been trying to figure out what I could combine it with 🤔
apart from magic ink, what else could i refill with?
@@odaicufranci3751 I’m assuming it would have to be oil based whatever it is. Unless there’s a way to thoroughly clean the nib and rid it of of all the paint. Then theoretically you could fill it with a number of dye inks and whatnot
Pilot silvers POP aswell.
Another question is: The fumes? Liquid Chrome is so shiny! But the chemical odor is intense
It really is x.x I love it and I've pulled it out a few times to make some super shiny stickers even, but the fumes really start to kill you pretty quickly and they linger since it takes so long to dry on account of the oil base
bro it's just alcohol lol
@@stoveone4031 No, it isn't just. Wear your mask.
@@VJFranzK lol shut up nerd im not wearing a mask over using alcohol based paint. the chemical odor you are smelling is literally just alcohol, the only other thing in it is pigment and suspender.
@@ScizGraffiti bro, liquid chrome is not oil based lmao you really shouldn't be giving any advice on topics you know nothing about
Try refilling it with liquid silver !!
yeah that's definitely a good idea
It just writes really good on surfaces imo
For sure. super smooth on everything I've tried it on too
I personally never liked these because they leak. The cap sucks and they’re just annoying.
I haven't had em leak on me yet. The caps re sorta weird though
Idk, I just like the feel. The paint in there seems fairly average (not bad though)
Definitely feels nice, like the nib I mean. It's soft enough that it's just a bit spongey 👌
Montana Quick!🖖
Bit late btw vut im not sure if this is meant to be a feature but if you turn the nib sround you have a round fkat nib
yeah the flat side is nice. It's definitely got a unique look when writing with it
There's also a otr flat nib marker out there and it's pretty good but there fr isn't many
Pentel shorty the most over-rated. Cap rarely works and hard to remove. Ink is garbage and very random. It leaks like crazy or clogs up.
Who rites bu
Bunes I do
Buy two at a time, so you can have a full marker. I hate PX30 caps. Art primo's PIXO38 is the superior marker
I'll have to give that one a try :)
If you can find them, Uni's PXA-300 has a better cap. It's alcohol based and doesn't come in silver, but comes in more colors than the PX30. Even though it's alcohol-based it has a metal body. It's a better marker by far if you're planning to refill.
@@robertdaly9162 nice thanks man
You up late or early brotha?
a bit of both :)
Can I plsss get a hit-off ❤

Just added AC11 to the hit off list for the next one man!
Thanks im watching you for like 1.5 years
Bruh I just got mine in the mail shit came less than half full I thought it was ruined in the shipping, it writes beautifully but is really overpriced for the amount of ink you get in it.
Yeah they feel super light when you get em 😂
yo
Yooo

ES UM UNEE PAYNSCH
molotov sucks
estroginzed wrist man over here doesn't understand why xylene paint is miles better than alcohol paint and is out telling ppl what products are good lmao. molotow liquid chrome tags are not going to last 30 years
I see you're just as mature as the day many years ago that you evidently took a full time position hating. 😂 If you bothered to watch the video you'd have heard me state exactly why xylene based paints ARE better than alcohol based ones with respect to permanence specifically. But instead you were too busy making yourself look bad. The sad part being that you aren't even aware that the dirt you throw at other people only gets on YOUR hands. Have a good day, and have it somewhere else preferably lol
@@ScizGraffiti calm down lmao idek who you are
@@ScizGraffiti what are you even talking about fool
@@ScizGraffiti you're crying
once you get the nib broken in its unbeatable.
for sure. mine is still getting there haha
It’s the best silver marker!!!
Hi mane I would love it if you would write my tag in your next vid my tag is goof btw 😊😊😊😊
