I bought a 2002 Kawasaki Prairie 360 4x4 from an 80 year old man that bought it new, this bike is SUPER CLEAN and has a winch, and a REALLY COOL Ducks unlimited rear utility pack and it's got a speedometer. There's ABSOLUTELY NO RUST ANYWHERE ON IT. It has 1,500 miles on it and he said he'd take $1,800 for it and I didn't try to haggle with him at all. The bike is SOOO FREAKING NICE, I had no problem giving him what he wanted. He handed me the title and said he only used full synthetic fluids. He was a nice man, he said he would use it for deer hunting on his lease every year since he bought it. He said he paid $6,500.

Hunting atvs are typically the only used atvs I will buy. They just go from point A to B and back. Very fair price and I agree, these atvs are a ton of value!

Just got one of these to do work on. Old couple had it. Its properly mint like near perfect condition but it has sat its entire life for sure i cleaned the carb and its the worst carb ive ever seen had to clean the gas tank too. I have a 2005 model same camo. The only thing I have done to it is 16 years. Replaced batteries (3), 1 spark plug, 4 wheel drive switch ( still worked rubber boot was craked did want water to get into it to short it out) oil changes. My dad alwats told me if you take care of your equipment, it will take of you take.
I will own this till the day I die.
Somebody already offered me 2000 dollars for it.

Great overview b/c I’m looking at one right now to possibly buy. It does need new pull cord & cover panel for that side, but the carb sounds like a big issue on this one. Starts & idles (electric) just fine, no smoke. But doesn’t throttle or ramp rpm well. I’d like to share the video of this that I got today and see what you have to say. Called local Kawasaki to see what OEM carb might cost & check availability. It’s not (2003-4 I think) anymore. Carb slide is but almost $200 now. Looks like lots of universal near fit Chinese carbs are available online, I think that’s what’s on it now too. Advice?

my dad just bought probably the cleanest 08 360 ever, it was owned by an old man who bought it new in 08 and it was ridden 2 or 3 times until my dad bought it a few months ago, the bike has been maintained and started even thought the guy wasn't riding it, he preserved it well. but my dad wont let my ride it like a fourwheeler should be ridden, I dont want to swim it but he wont even let me have fun at all. no mud puddles, no donuts, no wheelies, and no romping on it. all I can do is use it as a farm workhorse which is what he bought it for. I cant get him to understand that riding it how its supposed to be ridden isnt the end of the world

That transmission only burns belts if you play in thick mud in high range put it in low it won’t burn a belt that’s the way the old Polaris sportsman was like use low range in the mud and you can walk right through it it’s also a great trail bike these were very popular when they were around at the pumpkin run and Easter run in st Augustine these bikes were everywhere and they had big mud tires on them and it had more than enough power to turn them I would buy one of these used and I would even buy a 650 or even a 700 the prairie was a great product of Kawasaki they are easy to find on marketplace because nobody wants carberated atvs anymore but people like me that aren’t going to play in deep water will buy these bikes I will still play in mud and trail ride and even work with them you don’t have to be in deep water to play in the mud but any of the prairie bikes would suit me I do love the sound of a v twin a 650 or 700 prairie would be the best choice for me but a 360 would be good enough too any of the prairies are easy to find and cheap to get used in great condition they are great bikes I would love to own any of them
