Obviously the higher end horses have more speed and acceleration. My Norfolk Roadster has almost full rings around stamina & health. I can ride full speed damm near across the whole map without using tonics. I slow down for a second and the little bit thats drained is full again in a few seconds.

I used to go for stats, but now I just pick 'em based on what coats I like. I've got two criollos for example, and honestly, I don't really feel much of a difference aside from the rank 20 can take an extra bullet or two. Much happier going for aesthetics.
Me too, although I'm upset there's no high level pure white horses apart from Arabian. The white gypsy cob and white kladruber are both very delicate in terms of health, which is bad for me since I like doing combat while mounted.
Aesthetics don’t matter for health either it’s just the race horses that are fast usually aren’t that big and don’t have a bunch of health but the big horses have great stamina and health and is basically a tank slow and sturdy

To be really honest, from I’ve experienced with different breeds online since day one… the Fox Trotter(Buckskin Brindle) the Breton(Mealy Dapple) and the Mustang(Buckskin) to be the best I’ve had, they’re tough, fast and don’t scare too easily. Not to mention stunningly beautiful. And as a side note… I also wanna throw the Tiger Stripes Bay Mustang here, because it has my favorite skin of any horse, and is probably the most fearless horse in game, it’s the horse that has bucked me off the least in the face of danger. And as far as saddles go, the Upland saddle has equal or better stats than this saddle mentioned here, it’s a one item buy, no need to buy each individual part, stirrups,bags etc… it takes some grinding to unlock and it’s pricey but by the time you finish the bounty hunter grind and if you don’t spend your money foolishly you’ll have enough money to buy the saddle.

I recently bought the bay frame overo. He absolutely demolishes any other horses in races, is devently brave and has a tonne of stamina. Would highly reccomend.
Starter horse was a dappled bay TW named Song. I got a Mudtang with my free horse ticket leveling up, wish I didn't discard him. He was a Buckskin I named Kenai. My 2nd bought horse was a red chestnut turkoman I named Montoya

I just bought one and that horse literally only loses a speck of the stamina ring on long fast rides. I thought my Thoroughbred [18 gold] was a beast until I bought this horse.
When I got the criollo I found my favorite horse. I love that it let's you collect plants while riding, wish they implemented that into story mode, same with the lantern option.
Criollo for general purpose, Gypsy for Hunting and fighting, Norfolk for speed. Kladruber handles like a one wheeled wagon and the Breton is a snake detector.
Nah man, turkomans are the way. High speed and accel stats, good health and stam, plus a beautiful horse with some amazing coats (chestnut is my favourite) and bam - the ultimate horse.
Playing since 4 years and the saddle just give you a better feeling of speed but I can win with a shire and a default saddle in a race without any unfair movement or such. So it's just what you want.
Pro tip: the horse stats barely matter. If you like the look of a horse. Buy it. If you have the best saddle and stirrups (with level 4 bonding) your stamina will be essentially unlimited if you just pat the horse it regens more than you lose. The speed and acceleration stats. Almost unnoticeable. If you are into racing then there’s a slight competitive advantage. In terms of saving time when traveling the map you gain nothing. health is fairly useful. It will save you from having to revive your horse as often. And often in pvp I will use my horse as cover.
Buckskin Mustang +Naco Saddle + hooded stirrups = (bond lv.4) max hp max stamina max speed good vs predators/gun shots. Highly recommend this horse as a starter and even veteran players. Low cost compared to others and you can get it at any level I believe.

On my behalf i highly recommend this option for the new players. The Mustang is only about 350$-400$. It’s also gotta be one of the best horses in my experience. The colours are cool. Cheap. Plus- At bonding four you’ll acquire all Stamina & Health that’ll be full. Also, if you add the Nachadocha Saddle it will make it much better, same as the haunch things that you’re feet rest on. This is advice from a level 600. ❤
part of the fun is working up to getting one (or multiple) of these horses! mustangs are perfect for starting out, that's what i went for, but now i just ride my Kladruber, he's perfect
My silver dappled pinto Missouri Foxtrotter, my Golden Turkoman, and my Big ole shire from the beginning. All have not been forgotten all these years later. Just as well, they have me actually interested in real life horses now. Horses are kind of cool.
Not me spending nearly $1000 on the Steely Gray Breton. In my opinion with the bounty hunter saddle its one of the best looking combos with some very impressive stats
If you want a horse with good stat's and looks cool. Go for the Missouri fox trotter, it has great stamina, good speed and acceleration, beautiful coats and you don't need a role for it
1. speed and acceleration have been found to make a very minor difference, so if you like a horse but it’s slow, it probably won’t actually be that different 2. horse bravery around animals is the same for all horses in rdo, around gunshots larger horses are braver 3. health and stamina levels are the most important. if you get a horse that starts 3/4th full it’ll be level 10 (as high as it gets) when you max bond. obviously, you should be trying to max your bond with all horses 4. on pc there’s a bug (won’t get patched…obviously) that makes the upland saddle the best saddle in the game. it allows you to put different stirrups on the saddle, which by default is one of the only saddles you can’t change stirrups on. watch a guide on how to do it, it’s easy
the last two available in the mustang category are only 500 and get maxed stamina and health at level 4 bonding and also have pretty nice stats for the price, add the saddle and stirrups and youll have yourself a horse worth keeping through the entire game
I got my Kladruber first before I got all the other horses. Still my favourite and best horse I've ever owned. Can handle being shot and runs decently fast. I haven't once been bucked off, not even with a croc snapping at its legs. I haven't played in a long time but I'll never forget my good boy Hephae
Rarely players mention the Kladruber, but it's the horse of emperors and kings in reality and in game absolutely one of the Best in that game. Stats, steady, looks as well, and solid in battle. Other than that, the Arabian of course. Swift movement especially for those that go for the horse first. Many that hate it, just do not get it.
Rank 20 horses have nearly all or even with I think the Norfolk both of it's rings filled, paired with the good saddle and stirrups they can run basically infinitely and take a lot to die

I'll stick with the Missouri Fox for now but I'm always looking to improve the speed and stamina while traveling around the map so I'm open to new suggestions for a better horse... It's pitiful however how R* did it so we can't steal and keep whatever horse we want or tame a wild horse and keep it or sell it as we see fit... I'm coming from GTA Online so not being able to juggle with our horses - aka vehicles - it's hard to accept...
@@gabeghiby6935 Just keep your Fox Trotter and add another horse to your stable. I have 9/10 stable slots filled with all my favorite horses. You of course have to purchase a new stable slot beforehand.. since R* likes to have everything cost an arm and a leg.
I recommend the all white elite Arabian that can be found on the west side of lake Isabella, Grizzlies. The all white horse is extremely rare and has a lot of stamina
For anyone out there don’t listen to this guy, there is no such thing as the best horse. Everyone has the best horse, maybe your horse might not be the fastest, might not be the strongest, might not have that good health, but that doesn’t matter because you like it and its the best horse for you.
From personal experience, if you're not yet a rank 20 in a certain role; the Missouri Fox Trotter is your horse. After level 4 bonding their health and stamina is practically maxed out. And they are one of the less reactive horses in RDO! My Blue Roan Fox Trotter is VERY tolerant to predators! But of course, this is randomized! But RockStar has stated themselves the Missouri Fox Trotter is way more tolerant to predators than other multi-class breeds.
I have a red roan horse in red dead redemption 2, and it is the best horse I’ve ever had in that game, it outran so many bounty hunters, doesn’t run when I am fighting an animal or another person. Overall best horse.
Been using my Red Dub Overo Mustang, and he's a beast I stg. I can ride from Saint Denis to the Heartlands at max speed. I've also outpaced every other player I've met
Honestly as long as they're semi fast and look cool I'm happy. Got me a reverse dapple TB from special edition and that good ol girl hasn't let me down once, can never go wrong having her by my side
If you don't want to worry about leveling up (i.e. your a new player) buy the Missouri Foxtrotter. Some coats are 850 and others are 1550. No matter the coat, the stats are the same and they posses the same stats as the Norfolk roadster (best horse in the game) except one bar of acceleration. It is the horse I use and buy the the best horse because it is somewhat tough, has the most speed out of any other horse in the game, very good stamina and health, and with the saddle and stirrups in the video it is the best horse out of any of them. This horse I think just requires level 20 or something like that so if you are new new, do the campaign missions not only will they level you up but also give you the money to buy the horse. They also look very nice
Look, im telling u guys, its well researched, buy ANY HORSE u want. Just get a good saddle(nacho preferred, but really any good one) the hooded stirrups, and the gus trinket, and ur golden.
Tricolored Norfolk roadster os the best horse i ever ridden in rdr, though I do wish we had more customizable options for horses since i seen others that look nearly identical to my Horse Firestorm
Black and White Arab horses are the best. They have the higher stats and Elite manouvrability. All the other horses feel like driving a piece of wood. Arab are so smooth while changing direction.
I’ve had a lvl 20 Breton black coat for a while now. And I’ve literally ran across all states in the game while going lightning fast without even losing half of my stamina bar
Any horse is great with a good saddle, so the Nacogdoches or the Upland. Their outer ring for stamina may not be completely full at level 4 bonding, but as long as you are consistently calming them they shouldn’t run out of stamina. Just buy whatever horse you’d like honestly. 😭
the thing about saddles is... some of them are ugly lol. i'd rather get a lower stat but prettier saddle and a high stat, gorgeous horse, it evens out well enough
Based on their base health and acceleration, I went for the Breton and the Criollo. They also have good speed and acceleration. Plus the ones I got have pretty nice coats. Male Mealy Dapple Bay Breton, his name is Zeus and a Female Bay Frame Overo Criollo, her name is Athena. I plan to give each role horse I get their role corresponding saddle. Already got Zeus his Upland saddle. I do regret selling my original Breton, though. Sorrel coat named Frieda which was the same name I gave my American Standardbred in story mode. And let’s not forget Dunce, my first horse, a Morgan. It was a pretty good horse but god, he was dumb as bricks, running in circles when I whistled for him even though he was 5 yards away and there was literally nothing between us.

You literally only need 35% stamina drain and level 4 bonding. Those are the only stats that matter and the only level they matter at

Almost unnoticeable. If you are into racing then there’s a slight competitive advantage. In terms of saving time when traveling the map you gain nothing. health is fairly useful. It will save you from having to revive your horse as often. And often in pvp I will use my horse as cover.

Buckskin Mustang +Naco Saddle + hooded stirrups = (bond lv.4) max hp max stamina max speed good vs predators/gun shots. Highly recommend this horse as a starter and even veteran players. Low cost compared to others and you can get it at any level I believe.
Funny thing is the best ones you can get at the start but the cheap ones are locked until mid 40s
Turkoman and Arabian are my go to horses atm, trying to save for the Breton and the Fox Trotter.

@@noname-g7x7s The Black Arabian is known to be the fastest, I've had the horse in the video before and tried to race my frienc who had the black arabian, we had the same tack.
And they were still faster then me by a bit.

The Breton and The Gypsy Cobbs look so good, then again the bigger horses like war horses and draft are the best imo

On my behalf i highly recommend this option for the new players. The Mustang is only about 350$-400$. It’s also gotta be one of the best horses in my experience.

Plus- At bonding four you’ll acquire all Stamina & Health that’ll be full.
Also, if you add the Nachadocha Saddle it will make it much better, same as the haunch things that you’re feet rest on.

My silver dappled pinto Missouri Foxtrotter, my Golden Turkoman, and my Big ole shire from the beginning. All have not been forgotten all these years later. Just as well, they have me actually interested in real life horses now. Horses are kind of cool.

If you want a horse with good stat's and looks cool. Go for the Missouri fox trotter, it has great stamina, good speed and acceleration, beautiful coats and you don't need a role for it

1. speed and acceleration have been found to make a very minor difference, so if you like a horse but it’s slow, it probably won’t actually be that different
2. horse bravery around animals is the same for all horses in rdo, around gunshots larger horses are braver
3. health and stamina levels are the most important. if you get a horse that starts 3/4th full it’ll be level 10 (as high as it gets) when you max bond. obviously, you should be trying to max your bond with all horses
4. on pc there’s a bug (won’t get patched…obviously) that makes the upland saddle the best saddle in the game. it allows you to put different stirrups on the saddle, which by default is one of the only saddles you can’t change stirrups on. watch a guide on how to do it, it’s easy

the last two available in the mustang category are only 500 and get maxed stamina and health at level 4 bonding and also have pretty nice stats for the price, add the saddle and stirrups and youll have yourself a horse worth keeping through the entire game

I got my Kladruber first before I got all the other horses. Still my favourite and best horse I've ever owned. Can handle being shot and runs decently fast. I haven't once been bucked off, not even with a croc snapping at its legs. I haven't played in a long time but I'll never forget my good boy Hephae

Rarely players mention the Kladruber, but it's the horse of emperors and kings in reality and in game absolutely one of the Best in that game. Stats, steady, looks as well, and solid in battle. Other than that, the Arabian of course. Swift movement especially for those that go for the horse first. Many that hate it, just do not get it.

Rank 20 horses have nearly all or even with I think the Norfolk both of it's rings filled, paired with the good saddle and stirrups they can run basically infinitely and take a lot to die
Stick with whatever horse you like! You don’t even need the max level stirrups. You just need that 35% for stamina drain

It's pitiful however how R* did it so we can't steal and keep whatever horse we want or tame a wild horse and keep it or sell it as we see fit... I'm coming from GTA Online so not being able to juggle with our horses - aka vehicles - it's hard to accept...

@@gabeghiby6935 Just keep your Fox Trotter and add another horse to your stable. I have 9/10 stable slots filled with all my favorite horses. You of course have to purchase a new stable slot beforehand.. since R* likes to have everything cost an arm and a leg.

I recommend the all white elite Arabian that can be found on the west side of lake Isabella, Grizzlies. The all white horse is extremely rare and has a lot of stamina

For anyone out there don’t listen to this guy, there is no such thing as the best horse. Everyone has the best horse, maybe your horse might not be the fastest, might not be the strongest, might not have that good health, but that doesn’t matter because you like it and its the best horse for you.
I use a turkoman bc of the health, with the nacdonoches saddle and hooded stirrups ur never gonna run out of stamina anyway

I have a blue roan Missouri Fox Trotter named Sebastian and a white Arabian named Artemis.
From personal experience, if you're not yet a rank 20 in a certain role; the Missouri Fox Trotter is your horse. After level 4 bonding their health and stamina is practically maxed out. And they are one of the less reactive horses in RDO! My Blue Roan Fox Trotter is VERY tolerant to predators! But of course, this is randomized! But RockStar has stated themselves the Missouri Fox Trotter is way more tolerant to predators than other multi-class breeds.
I have a red roan horse in red dead redemption 2, and it is the best horse I’ve ever had in that game, it outran so many bounty hunters, doesn’t run when I am fighting an animal or another person. Overall best horse.
Over rank 100 and I still only have the horse that they give you at the beginning. It's a bond that can't be broken
Been using my Red Dub Overo Mustang, and he's a beast I stg. I can ride from Saint Denis to the Heartlands at max speed. I've also outpaced every other player I've met
Honestly as long as they're semi fast and look cool I'm happy. Got me a reverse dapple TB from special edition and that good ol girl hasn't let me down once, can never go wrong having her by my side

If you don't want to worry about leveling up (i.e. your a new player) buy the Missouri Foxtrotter. Some coats are 850 and others are 1550. No matter the coat, the stats are the same and they posses the same stats as the Norfolk roadster (best horse in the game) except one bar of acceleration. It is the horse I use and buy the the best horse because it is somewhat tough, has the most speed out of any other horse in the game, very good stamina and health, and with the saddle and stirrups in the video it is the best horse out of any of them. This horse I think just requires level 20 or something like that so if you are new new, do the campaign missions not only will they level you up but also give you the money to buy the horse. They also look very nice
The upland saddle is highly underrated
It doesn’t give you +1 speed and acceleration like the nacodoches saddle though

Tricolored Norfolk roadster os the best horse i ever ridden in rdr, though I do wish we had more customizable options for horses since i seen others that look nearly identical to my Horse Firestorm
Black and White Arab horses are the best. They have the higher stats and Elite manouvrability. All the other horses feel like driving a piece of wood. Arab are so smooth while changing direction.
Breton is my go to, mostly because he doesn't throw me whenever he hears a shot xD

And I’ve literally ran across all states in the game while going lightning fast without even losing half of my stamina bar
Any horse is great with a good saddle, so the Nacogdoches or the Upland. Their outer ring for stamina may not be completely full at level 4 bonding, but as long as you are consistently calming them they shouldn’t run out of stamina. Just buy whatever horse you’d like honestly. 😭
I just got a light gray coated shire and I’m already in love I’ve always like big bulky horses it’s makes them looks powerful
What’s cool about the hooded stirrups is that they are bulletproof
any horse is good you just need a good saddle in my opinion
the thing about saddles is... some of them are ugly lol. i'd rather get a lower stat but prettier saddle and a high stat, gorgeous horse, it evens out well enough

Based on their base health and acceleration, I went for the Breton and the Criollo. They also have good speed and acceleration. Plus the ones I got have pretty nice coats. Male Mealy Dapple Bay Breton, his name is Zeus and a Female Bay Frame Overo Criollo, her name is Athena. I plan to give each role horse I get their role corresponding saddle. Already got Zeus his Upland saddle. I do regret selling my original Breton, though. Sorrel coat named Frieda which was the same name I gave my American Standardbred in story mode. And let’s not forget Dunce, my first horse, a Morgan. It was a pretty good horse but god, he was dumb as bricks, running in circles when I whistled for him even though he was 5 yards away and there was literally nothing between us.
