Someone has to get the rights first. Then sell the DVD distribution rights to Shout! Factory. For example, Saban owns Power Rangers. They also have the rights to Super Sentai for adapting footage, costumes, etc. Since they sold the DVD rights to Shout!, Shout! then has the rights to release Sentai on DVD. Same with Hasbro and Transformers. They sold the DVD rights to Shout!, so Shout! got the rights to release the Japanese Transformers series on DVD.
Allie-RX I completely understand how it all works just saying that if they have already released 7 Super Sentai box sets with an 8th on the way clearly it might be worth a shot for Shout! to talk with Toei and see if a North America release of Kamen Rider would be possible. I'm sure I'm not speaking for myself when I say that I'm tired of hunting down streaming sites in order for me to enjoy some cheesy Japanese goodness.
@@leemcdonald1342 Ryan, the Titanium Ranger doesn’t have a Super Sentai counterpart. I find that the Super Sentai is more of a storyline than their Power Rangers counterparts. It’s just too bad many of the International audiences don’t adapt too well with the Japanese television culture.

I think the red sentai/ranger costumes is just a template for the other colored costumes.
