You have to create the opportunity guys. Service based product based no much big differences. I'm with accenture shell project for more than 10years my pack is close to 3L PM. I'm in all development, support , testings, architect finally moved to PM.. Guys don't pick the company even if it's small company and if you are fresher join with them gain the skill and move to big companies. Small companies will give you more lesson.

Scaler o Vector o. Self a prepare pannama no one can be in IT. Back in 2010, NIIT's 2-3Lakhs course was so famous. Many people joined it, paid it and completed it. But all ended up in manual testing and production support. I saw directly that people with no computer science background put that self learning effort and excel in coding.I'm not discourging anyone here. If you join the course or don't join, if you don't learn it, get it,understand it, self learn it, practice it, it's just gonna get wasted. How many things a person can study? That too after Covid the number of courses increased a lot. Make up your mind to study spend time practice and then join or decide to self learn.
300% is possible I got that hike when I moved from HCL tech to Ribbon communications - 4LPA to 11LPA. Especially my base salary increased to 300% from 25k to 75+k. Some people are commenting that service based companies are also giving competitive salaries the truth is only companies like Accenture, Delloite etc are providing that kind of hike not Indian MNCs like HCL, TCS and Infosys and also the foreign MNCs might be doing consulting work and not development work, their pay is somewhat close to what they pay people in US.
@Mak48 I understand where you coming from, so I have seen people claim 100% base increase salary, this is wrong way to calculate in percentage terms because it means your salary was the same. 300% your base is correct here as I am getting 3x my previous salary.
@@Ivy_Inquisitor I don't understand what math you are using. 100% of x hike means double of x. 200% of x means triple of x. If someone gets 50% hike from 10lpa, don't you say they get 15lpa now? So 100% becomes 20lpa, 200% becomes 30LPA, only if you get 40lpa, it's 300%. Most important term to note here is hike. We are getting percentage of some number and that number is your current salary. You can use the term that 'I am getting 3 times the salary i was previously getting', but you can't say I got 300% hike, which is completely wrong

By the way increased from and hike are the same thing just different wording. You should my salary tripled and that's all. Definetely communication is just a medium, if you are able to showcase your talent they wouldn't bother about English fluency. They will train you on that if needed. Important thing to note " English is not communication". It's just another language.

Basically, I see a lot of bitching about WITCH companies. But the actual success depends on the technology you are in, irrespective of whether you are in FAANG or WITCH or some startups. There is always a trade-off. If you work in WITCH companies in better technology, you can still have a quality lifestyle with a decent paycheck. 50 lakhs-60lakhs package do come with their own demerits. I have seen many guys on fast-growing startups who just think about their work only 24*7 and lose their life balance. At the end of the day, competing for better technology is always healthy but it shouldn't become a RAT RACE! Work for your livelihood. Don't make that WORK only your livelihood.

Basically, I see a lot of bitching about WITCH companies. But the actual success depends on the technology you are in, irrespective of whether you are in FAANG or WITCH or some startups. There is always a trade-off. If you work in WITCH companies in better technology, you can still have a quality lifestyle with a decent paycheck. 50 lakhs-60lakhs package do come with their own demerits. I have seen many guys on fast-growing startups who just think about their work only 24*7 and lose their life balance. At the end of the day, competing for better technology is always healthy but it shouldn't become a RAT RACE! Work for your livelihood. Don't make that WORK only your livelihood.
