I’ve been the substitute pianist at my church for a year now, so only play about once a month. Our pastor likes for the piano to be played every Sunday morning for the 15 minutes prior to the worship service starting. So finding enough hymns every time (even for the regular pianist) is a bit challenging. I’m always looking for ways to make the hymns sound more like a solo piece rather than straight four part harmony. Thanks so much for this suggestion!
