I'm curious if you know how to deal with shelling solids that have radii and wall thicknesses that cause the shell to fail. Seems like half the time I try to shell something, it fails because the radii are too small. I don't understand why it can't just go to zero and stay there.
I was going to do a video on that but I can’t get models to fail anymore. In the past you would Offset, Merge, and Solidify. I’ve been keeping my eyes out for a model that fails to shell, but Creo automatically drives the edges to zero.
@@CADPLMGuy Maybe it's because I'm stuck on Creo Parametric 3 due to our customer's requirement. I'll try it in version 6, which I also have installed.
That sounds like a good idea. Are you talking about the Hole Tables in drawings (which honestly don't work that well, which PTC acknowledges) or customizing the format of the automatic notes for Standard Holes in the .hol files? I cover the latter in Configuring Creo Parametric 4.0 so that should be doable for making a video.
@@skylark197878 Michael from PTC (Product Manager for 2D and 3D detailing) reached out to me at some point in the past year and said that the issue with Hole Tables has been resolved. I assume that was in Creo 8.
YOU ARE DEFT. Its amazing to learn from your videos.
I appreciate that!

This was very helpful!!
Glad to hear that!

Thank you for best example
Could you please make some video on hole table callout format note

@@CADPLMGuy Is that there already, Dave?
@@skylark197878 Is what where already? My response covers a few different topics.
@@CADPLMGuy hole tables in drawings, as being discussed above (past 1 year though)

I am unable to select shell option.........dont know how to select
Are you in a standard part? You can't be in a sheet metal part or an assembly or a drawing.
