I love Dairy Land Milk! (might be the only milk available in the West that we can still make cheese from if we want to), wholesome goodness! Nicely done video and Thank you for what you do, sincerely.
another perfect video and man it looked cold how it is trying to get feed out of the bunker it tough enough her in Wisconsin were it is always cold in winter
+Andis Boss It is called a 'tub grinder' and we use it to chop hay and straw bales into small pieces. In this case, we were grinding straw that we use for bedding in our free-stall barns.
+SaskDairy cool, thanks for the answer! so, cow bedding is only with choped straws not sands, right? but why do you use exactly that kind of grinder? not the usual (what you have in 1:35) or some similar? and how big are the straw pieces?
Amazing video along with all of the rest of them ;) we have about 5 1/2 feet of snow here I heard that you guys had a rough winter out there ! But hopefully we will see some More great videos of this spring/summer (if we ever get one)
+Would really like to see this same video at a much slower pace without the music and explanations as to what is happening and why. Dumb country boy from dairy country in Ontario 45 years ago. Average herd was 30 to 50 milkers. Thanks mate.
I'm sure it's straw too.. Used for isolation, while the hay is often used in the silage to mix the (optional) grass diet above the corn silage. That's what we use in Minnesota, at least..
+Nick Miller yeah its all about how much you earn ... farms like this are destroying dairy agri. !!!! come see the human size farms in Quebec theses are real farms this is pure sadness too much cows too much employees too much everything to be human sized ... coes dont go outside and you must dont earn more than me with 50 milkin cows LOL
+phil desch Have you watched th-cam.com/video/MYTjssD3EQg/w-d-xo.html ? I would like to see a video of your "human sized" farm and how much better your cows have it there. Thanks.
This lad needs lesson in geography. Saskatchewan is a long way from Arctic. Should report you for "misleading title". Other than that though ... good video!
+seventh7orbit You know what according to him it is very cold in the winter in Saskatchewan might as well be in the arctic so deal with the title. cause no one but you cares about the title
All children should know where their milk comes from and the hard work that goes into their glass of milk. Thank you to all Canadian Dairy Farmers.
I love your floor scraper. Your barns are so clean. Lovely. Ta.
