ahhh man. i love the dryness of young alex's voice. now, it's too soft. it's like he needs a glass of water or something, like he's got bronchitis... it just sounds awesome
Last night, these two bouncers and one of em's alright The other one's the scary one and his way or no way, totalitarian He's got no time for you, looking or breathing How he don’t want you to, so step out the queue He makes examples of you and there's nowt you can say Behind they go through to the bit where you pay And you realize then that it's finally the time To walk back past ten thousand eyes in the line And you can swap jumpers and make another move And still in your brain you've got something to prove To all the smirking faces and the boys in black Why can't they be pleasant? Why can't they have a laugh? He's got his hand in your chest, he wants to give you a duff Well secretly I think they wants ya all to kick off They want arms flying everywhere and bottles as well It's just something to talk about, a story to tell ya Well, I'm so glad they turned us all away, we'll put it down to fate I said a thousand million things that I could never say this morning Got too deep, but how deep is too deep? This town's a different town today Said, this town's a different town to what it was last night You couldn't have done that on a Sunday That girl's a different girl today Said, that girl's a different girl to what you kissed last night You couldn't have done that on a Sunday Of course not Well, I'm so glad they turned us all away We'll put it down to fate I thought a thousand million things That I could never think this morning Got too deep, but how deep is too deep? Last night, what we talked about It made so much sense But now the haze has ascended It don't make no sense anymore I said last night, what we talked about It made so much sense But now the haze has ascended It don't make no sense anymore
escucha los primeros segundos de la canción, parece como si lo hubieran pegado y lo hubieran puesto en la versión final. Se nota como su voz va madurando. También pasa en When the sun goes down @@juancamilo114
Hey, it's insanely cool that you're a fan of the Arctic Monkeys--I saw them live in Texas, and I think I saw you again on "Sunrise, Sunset" by We Are Trees? I did check out your song, and I really liked it! Wasn't it a response to "First Love" by The Maccabees? If so, or even if not, you have a great taste in music! (And making music). --Rose D.
@@zujua283 no sé por qué pero me gusta tanto como la original . Por ejemplo la when the sun goes down me gusta más, tambien se suelta unos buenos gallos pero eso lo hace mejor para mí xd
actually, it would happen that it was THIS track that i listen to first, the DEMO version, not the finished verson. i didnt have to 'bother' finding it.

best album of the decade.
This doesn't changes a lot from the studio version
It has a whole different vibe!
Apart from the 3 minute flaut solo, everythings basically on another vibe.
Kind of like the demo version of A Certain Romance tbh. The demo version of that was rawer, louder and better. It was also the one I heard first.
how does the vocal at the start sound exactly like the studio version
i wonder if they reused that bit, idk tho
Ikr thats really weird
chaotic drums, so fucking good
The beginning is almost identical to the album version, perhaps they never changed it?
by ‘identical’ you mean it’s the very similar or same vocas
This is not the demo, this is from the ep "Five Minutes With Arctic Monkeys"
it's just because we've heard the other one a shit load of times. It good for a change

You couldn't have done that on a Sunday
Of course not
Well, I'm so glad they turned us all away
We'll put it down to fate
I thought a thousand million things
That I could never think this morning
Got too deep, but how deep is too deep?
Last night, what we talked about
It made so much sense
But now the haze has ascended
It don't make no sense anymore
I said last night, what we talked about
It made so much sense
But now the haze has ascended

This version rocks :O
Love the guitar Riffs
Did someone find the demo version of 'Vampires is a bit strong but' ?
Se escucha igual que al del album ❤
No, claramente no lo es.

only in that age you can be that creative. trust me
Keeping it 100 true
Well, he's not. It was in 2003 when they were doing Beneath The Boardwalk demos, so they would've been closer to 18 than 15/16.

@Raeman1991 I funnily enough came in search of these demos for a date to write pretty much the same statement as you wrote haha,
good tune
amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually that's when they recorded it, but most of the songs in it were written when they were 16.
wrong. the band was formed in 2002, so....
Hey, does anyone have the beneath the boardwalk version of "Stickin' to the floor"? If you do, could you please send it to me? : )
Hoping u come out to jersey
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!
♥♥♥
But they were formed in 2003, surely Alex was at least 17 then.
as far as i'm concerned this one is much better than album version
they formed in late 2001/early 2002 actually, which means Alex was 16

5 minutes EP, actually
Thats true
🌶
@domg2hotmailcouk lol, people in my day were in night clubs at 16/17 lol

they started to play when they were 17, so...
little older than that actually but still impressive
ahhh
17/18...
:D
goes downhill a bit around 3.10
much better than the finished version. much faster and deeper sounding. the other one lacks personality really. it just seems bored.
17/18, not really amazing when you consider these are songs about going clubbing
Yeah and now they improv songs that... suck.
