I love the shoulder arm swing of the Band Leader... it's not just us Brits that do it, with of course, heel first marching. Drumming could do with a few more rolls rather than 'rat-a-tatting' ... deeper sided snare drum needed. Very good musicians.
I played all marches (the first one actually more often than I care to remember) as a percussionist and the drums part is written with very few rolls. The only thing wrong the snare drum is that the snares need to be tightened a bit more ;-)
