Great training. I've had Logos for a few years and upgraded to 10. However, I haven't even made a dent in taking advantage of the full capabilities. This video is definitely going into my Logos playlist. I have also subscribed. I'm looking forward to checking out more of your videos.
Awesome! Love ❤ your videos.. Are you going to do any when the new Subscription comes out and new features? Keep up the good work, you are in my prayers!
Fantastic training! I almost missed your video as I couldn't see your topics in the description to your TH-cam. I just started Logos a week ago & have been watching dozems of their Help videos but was still very lost & overwhelmed by how the app works. So much so I dread watching their videos! But thanks to your training, you made everything so clear! Look forward to your other videos. Eg how do we navigate from one window to the next? How do we go back to the previous search item, a resource we looked at previously. Things got messy when new windows kept opening & some pages disappeared😅
Thank you for the compliments! I just uploaded answers to some of your questions at preacherprep.com/2023/11/09/search-and-resource-history/ I do not fully understand what you mean by switching windows, but I'd love to know! Can you explain it a bit more?
@@Preacherprep What I meant was I would read a verse in the Bible & double click a word and then select something; or I may key into the search box a phrase. The result may open in various places: (1) in a new window (or panel) on the right side; or (2) in a new tab on the same side of the existing window (or panel); or (3) overrides the existing page view; or (4) on the narrow column on the far right of my screen; or (5) on the bottom half of an existing column; or lastly rarely (6) on the bottom row of my screen. It is disorientating for a new user not knowing where things appear nor why. So as I investigate each result & go deeper into a study, various windows may be all over the screen. Is there a way of controlling where I want each new window or result or interrelated study appear?
@@Preacherprep Thank u for your prompt response! I went to look at your answer in your link. But I don't have the search panel in your screenshot. All I have is a left right button with a down arrow for earlier search terms. Hence, I don't have the benefit of that "last accessed" option :(
@@shontntye5961 There is a learning curve and it sounds like you are doing well! Some of the features are going to open up a floating panel. The sermon manager and Atlas tool are two that come to mind. There might be others, but I'm blanking on them at the moment if I am. Some tools are narrow panels on the right hand side. The cited by tool, power search and information tool will all be narrow panels on the right. When opening up a resource, I'm not always sure why it sends it to which panel, but I'm sure there is a reason. Maybe someone who knows will read this and be able to help us out. In your overall program settings, you can change the settings for what happens when you double click or triple click a word. There is a learning curve, but doing what you are doing is the best way to master it!
I just bought some books. Where do I search for them in my Logos app on my desktop? I spent the last half hour but still can't find where my purchased books in my Library. How to "add to Library"? Look forward to your help.
They automatically show up in your library. Do you see the search bar when you open up the library? If you’ve done that and it’s not working, double check your settings to make sure it is set to automatically download new resources.
@@Preacherprep Thank u for your prompt response. I realize that the “add to Library” meant getting books from the Bookstore, “prioritize Library” is yet another meaning. Just not sure how to “find” or search if I key in a book title - which search box should I input into? I get weird results.
It’s might be hard to explain without video or pictures, but there is a search bar at the top of your library that you can search. It should be on the left hand side toward the top of your library panel.

@@shontntye5961 If I'm thinking about it correctly, I believe the "last accessed" is available in your library, not in a search panel.
