So I watch a couple of other sims 4 youtubers and I learned from one of them that whenever you leave the lot on which you are writing the song, it resets your progress. That means everytime she wrote then left to go to work, it reset her progress. That is also why it didnt reset when she stopped to pee. She didnt leave the house.

She usually doesn’t because she has some challenges ( like the fairytale rags to riches) that she just streams and then she has some that she edits and cuts down and posts on her main channel. I think it would be too much work for Kelsey to have to edit all her streams as well as her main channel gameplays
I've been cheating my musician sims needs as well so that they can complete the songs. But I only do it for completion of the songs because of the current bug with songs restarting when you're writing them.

I think that only works in the sims 3 sadly. I’ve tried those tricks in the early days of sims 4 and it didn’t always work :(

If you work on a song and don’t finish it it ends up in your inventory and you can go back in and work on it there
