Yes.
She used up the last of her power to do it.
A lot.
A single Divine Pulse can return to the start of a battle, but no further than that. So probably half a day or 12 hours is a fair guesstimate for its temporal range.
Jeralt dies at the end of chapter 9.
The time skip happens at the end of chapter 12, so 3 months later.
After the 5 year gap, the group comes back together on the anniversary of the Gerrag Mach Founding Festival, reuniting again during the Ethereal Moon, or 57 months later.
Then there are 9 months of chapters following the reunification on most routes.
The exact answer cannot be figured from the given data, but it would have taken no less than 3,960 Divine Pulses to achieve this feat.
@@quillquickcard8824 If we assume Byleth has 12 divine pulses (I think that's the most you can have in game) per month and go off your "half a day" theory then it should take her 27,5 years to save that much power
The line "I've got years of embarrassing you to catch up on" struck me hard because of what happens to Jeralt...
And that last bit where Future Byleth gets one last moment with Jeralt... That's very heartwarming...

honestly I wish they gave jerald more story. like don't get me wrong he serves his propose well but I feel as if his death in game was...a bit meh. just imagine having this play out in game and then witness his death afterwards.

Ikr. I love FE3h but the one thing that irritate me is when beleth says something that jeralt likes and there support grows but they never have any support conversations💢. I guess jeralt really was a stranger to beleth😭💔.
Sad Byleth did make me feel really bad though and the sad mellow music juring the month after his death helped me feel really sad aswell.
They could have at least had a paralogue for Byleth&Jeralt. Just the two of them.
I actually almost cried when he died, tbh. I was expecting it to happen, but you could tell that Jeralt loved Byleth very much, and seeing that relationship break due to his death was definitely painful.

They really shouldn't have killed Jeralt off. I feel like he'd have been a great unit to give us in the post timeskip. Like depending on which class you taught for and which side you joined; he'd return to his more aggressive self that was hinted at (hinted at by his datamined critical lines, that is) and then he'd be the one to find you at the riverside instead of some random NPC.
@Bailey Law I think keeping Hunting by Daybreak as the first chapter would be better, but I can definitely see that being one early on. Regardless, there would definitely be a Paralogue called "Untold History", where Jeralt comes clean about his past, his possession of the Crest of Seiros, as well as why he doesn't trust Rhea.
@Arcanium the Adventurer If it existed, I think it would've happened by now since we're past the first anniversary of the game.
@Bailey Law Can't forget the following month, since I don't think it was until a month in or so that Jeralt took advantage of the fire to run
And on Silver Snow, he’d turn into one of those flying beasts, so you could’ve gotten a good character _and_ the sad character death if you really wanted
I feel like killing him off when they did was pointless. Like he would've been a great unit to have continue the story. Even if he didn't have a major role outside of getting reunited. In a game where most the the characters already have tragic back stories the main character already had enough happen without losing Jeralt.

I love the voice acting. You can really feel the emotions especially when Byleth started crying. It hurt so much, I started crying as well :(
Yeah I didnt wake up this morning to cry nasty snotty tears. Also the V.A who did Jeralt- you definitely need to break out into the industry. You were so close to David Lodge even in how he stresses words

If he was in the game more and we got stuff like this his death would have had more of a impact
if only Nintendo did that, what an awesome story it would be. if your character actually talked, it would’ve been an awesome story moment.

It would be great if the actual game could deliver this kind of impact. I like the game, but we do not get this level of writing from it.
I never really knew my dad all that much, but I have some small memories of him and I remember emotions instead of scenarios.. I learned to grow up without showing pain or tears to make other people more happy- so I can relate to Byleth a lot on that notion. When my dad passed, I remember feeling the overwhelming pain because I expected him to be home and us to have fun. Both in the game and this comic made me miss him a lot more and actually start crying- but I guess it’s a good thing since it’s hard for me to actually cry :’) Thanks for putting so much emotion and little ad libs to make it more realistic.

Tears were shed when How Does A Moment Last Forever began to play :’) I’d never would have expected a disney song (about a father singing to his daughter) and FE to mesh so well together ❤️

When I heard that Jeralt voice, I seriously thought you got Jeralt's VA. Seriously, on, point.
this made me so sad because I can understand Byleth's feelings, I haven't lost my father yet (knock on wood) but if I did I would feel exactly like her in this moment.
Goddamn it. Here I am, a 35 year old man, veteran of Fire Emblem since the gameboy advance era, and I just now see this the day after the funeral of my uncle, the man who raised me and would let me talk videogames and F.E. To him non stop even if he didn’t know anything about what I was talking about yet would listen intently and give his thoughts on tactics and the story, so now I am sitting on my couch with tears running down my face.
Everyone here did a beautiful job from the drawings to the voicework, thank you for this piece of art.

I like to think jeralt went back to the monastery early on the night of the Ball in order to dance with byleth and tell her his story because he had just danced with future byleth a few days ago. He had to make sure she gets the idea in her head to go back in time to dance with him on her wedding day. Meaning he got the idea to do it from future byleth who got the idea from him who got the idea from future byleth. Time travel is fun like that.

...wow... I don't truly know how to comment on this, but needless to say, I am a big crying wreck now. Jeralt was one of my fav chars, and when he passed in the game, I cried and didnt touch it again for a few days. This video along with the voice acting makes me really wish that we got more of Jeralt before his death. Fantastic.
