Thank you again, catharsis! I made an attempt to combine orchestration and drum and bass. There are various genres of music in NIKKE, and they are different from each other, but they try to match it similarly in the game, so I don't think they considered a mix that fits the original music. I have a lot of concerns about the mix myself, and I think I need to keep improving it. Thank you!
Some more tracks to check out: *-Ominous Cross* *-Goddess of Victory* -*The Collector* *-Holy Crab* *-Bass Bomb* *-DUST RIDER* *-Khamsin* -*Dilemma* *-The Pilgrim* *-Real Kindness* *-Splinter* *-WE RISE (Full Length)* Not a Cosmograph Track, but it slaps so fuggn hard: -Standalone [Interception Menu] by NieN -Slaughterer by Nien
I believe the vocals are (possibly royalty-free)samples used among multiple artists like the vocal samples used in "Stronghold Land Eater" that are also used in other songs from Zekk. That's probably why they're not credited because I've had a very tough time tracking down the origin of those vocal samples. So I guess they just exist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the way the song play into the lore is also really good, with Havester being the main weapon used to attack big cities in the past and hunt humans through ambush attacks. And the music has that vibe starting with a bell and lirics about trying to escape as if it was about someone that was in a city getting attacked by a Havester
Probably my most favorite analysis of Cosmograph. This is what I love about Drummer/Guitarist/Musician etc react videos. You really know how to pick apart the subject, criticize it, and praise it at the same time. I’m not 100% sure but I think maybe I understand the criticism on the mix. I think there’s a desire to have this more dynamic feel to it with instrumental elements being plentiful and each one shooting into your ear from so many different directions and even though it’s all layered you can hear each individual little sound clearly. It’s hard to explain without making it seem like you’re calling the whole song flat because it’s not or at least I don’t think. Maybe I can compare it to the Befall video where there were a lot of mentions and callouts to all the tiny little subtle noises you hear in the mix. These gacha games do be killing it in the studio. Hoyomix was my first love for their ethnic(?) / electronic hybrid tracks. Cosmograph have become my favorite overall though.
Yeah straight up. The songs Cosmo makes are compositionally really creative and fun, but I'm so used to listening to HUGE electronic musicians and their mixes match the pedigree. I've even poked at composers I've become friends with through gacha stuff. Sometimes i just wish there was a biiiit more, but i don't want to minimize their skill and effort besides

Always looking forward to improvement is what makes great artists. And no matter my personal gripes, you're still a better musician than me by far 😂
All your soundtracks are bangers Cosmograph 👌
If you want to check out some of their OSTs that arent for boss fights, I would recommend "Goddess of Victory", "The Godness Fall", Or "Marian"
True I would recommend those as well

Been addicted to this song and listening to it on repeat whenever I either drive or play Armored Core 6
Khamsin is a popular one. Noone is talking about "Dust rider" though
Dust Rider's one of my personal favorites, right up there with Bulletstorm and Rapture Storm.

You have to listen to Bass Bomb Cosmograph next or if you wanna listen to another boss fight ost, try out Tempest.
Oh hey. Its maxors theme
Splinter is another great soundtrack from nikke
