Buying one. Can somebody explain to me why the speeds here are so different from when the alley posts your mph? Are they measuring off the hand and the automatic ones at bowling centers are in the middle?
Another thing is that depending on the bowling alley they can read your speeds after they hit the pins and hit the back, or as they are traveling down lane. At one place I traveled to, they read the mph once it hit the curtain, obviously once it hits the pins it slows down a bit so the MPH can vary on the screen depending on how many pins it’s hitting, instead of how fast it’s actually traveling down lane.
So I have to ask, I noticed almost everyone had a different “mass bias” to PAP number. Was this based on anything specific given that the core is symmetric? Personal preference? Does it matter?
@@KennyGrinols that CG would have to be swung in a weird direction to track over it for me. I’m just always curious because of the #cgnomatter but I personally know people that say it still does
@@jeremiegrund I mean, technically it matters. But trying to explain bilateral symmetry versus radial symmetry, will usually lose the crowd too quickly. So... It matters sometimes. Radical even designed a symmetric core with "knobs" with layouts that drastically altered dynamics based on whether you hit the knob, or miss it. As a 2 hander, it's easy to have a lot of normal layouts result with the ball logo right where a thumb "would be" and that's right where we track over daily often. I use at least 5" pap to "fake PSA" to avoid that.

Yeah the bowling center ones measure downlane speed which is generally 2-3mph loss

Had my highest score, 256, with this ball. No warm up, 9-, 7/, 8/ then struck out. REALLY with I warmed up lol

I use it, just to position the logos where I like for my axis point, so that I don't track over them.

its pretty easy to guess how the balls going to roll even if they dont show actual 2 handers
They have Dylan listed at 515 rev rate and Chad at 480. That's plenty of rev rate to get a read
