For me it is a literal mountain. My family call these hill home for centuries. I moved away in 06 and instantly missed these hills. In 2018 my grandmother passed and with her passing came the forclosure of our family farm. A century of legacy gone. That year, it became clear there was a lot I needed to clear out. Toxic people, toxic marriage, but most importantly toxic mindset. Not going to lie, that laat one was the hardest and longest to clear. But from that space I rebuilt, first a healthy loving new marriage, a relationship I only thought lure. Then a move back to the hill, where I can still see and feel my ancestors out in the fields. To this past month, June 2024, (7 years after hearing the warnings that my launch was comint) I just bought my own little piece of the hill back. My husband and I are building our dream home and we hope to, in the future, open it to others, as a space of respite and inspirtation.
So glad your daughter is in jiu jitsu! It will give her confidence & self discipline. I think a lot of kids could use martial arts in one form or another.
Hubby won a world championship in jiu jitsu back in the 80's & still practices in his mid sixties!.
I really hope she stays with it throughout her life.

I geel like it’s been 20 yrs. of lesson upon lesson since the death of my husband, 3 friends to cancer brother to suicide covid almost killed me and now caregiving my 86 yo mom on hospice w/lung cancer. I am exhausted. I look back and really am proud of all I jave cone through(there is much more besides those I have lost) and I am proud of me for not just surviving but thriving at times until the next tower hits . I hope the Universe has my back this tone and yes I have been manifesting my next dream last honey of this life. Tiny home on an island called Lopez. I see it clearly right down to the firepit , view and gardens. And the last love of this life will be there with me, at the firepit looking at the sunset over the bay every nite. Yep basically mostly was trying to get my head straight and let go of some friends, relationship, including an ex that really were not healthy. Just brought more stress and expectations into my life. So yes, it has been lonely because my two cats also passed away. I needed a lot of care for the latter part of their lives.. So I really don’t have many people in my life anymore. It’s really hard putting myself back out there. I’ve been knocked down alot and trying to get back up! I am desiring healthy relationships in my life and that’s my only stipulation at this point, so for now I am more on my own until I have more of those kind of people in my life. I have a couple and I’m grateful for those couple that I have. It’s would be nice to more friends and your family to have your back like you always have others. I’m now trying to really work on my own perspective and live in expectation of miracles every day. Staying away from the politics stuff.
