The editing in Romero's early films is something to behold. It's fast, but doesn't wear out the eye...unlike modern editing techniques.
Braddock, PA is the perfect setting, too. Much like the Transylvanian countryside is decimated by Dracula's vampirism, Braddock was abandoned by the steel industry and left to rot when there weren't anymore profits to suck out of it. The decrepit look of the town and its neighborhoods is captured perfectly by Romero.

Released a year before the Richard Chase case,similar story of a man who drank blood,Friedkin made a film upon that story called Rampage.
The premise of this movie is very unique and overlooked inside the vampire movie genre. Its actually a very well scripted film
