HI JIM - I bought a second hand 2016 MKZ in great condition and. Long story short I traded in my car so that I could work with UBER as I had just resigned from a 10 year career weeks before COVID blew up and had no clue that I couldn't return to my field due to this. ANYWAY I HATE MY CAR FOR 1 REASON and it's sad. It's a great car - can you please help me - HOW can I retro fit the SYNC system so that I can install APPLE PLAY - it took 3 dealerships to be able to tell me that the 2017 models and newer could do this but my car was the last year where NOTHING can be done. Is that true, NOTHING? Not retro fitting? Not Changing out the manufactor's system and putting in something like a Pioneer for example. There is such little information on this specfiic situation that I have had a horrible experience with Lincoln - at first I thought TEST out a used car, then transition to a new one if you like. It's not even about liking the car - it's now been 2.5 years or so and I can't get a straight answer that I am reaching out to you just in hopes that you may have some ideas for me?

No it's a separate chip for $100.00 through the manufacturer. But worth it.
