I met AJ at the Roxy in 2019. I’m a huge fan of all his work with Ministry but I’ve always considered this track one of his finest and told him so. I wasn’t sure what he would say and was somewhat surprised at his response…
‘You know.. Lots of people come up to tell me and say that..’
He was VERY friendly! AND I managed to swing a photo of the two of us with Duff from GnR!! 😎

This is the Ministry I first met in the 80's and I wish AJ would have stuck with this vibe more. Except for a few songs, this band lost me after With Sympathy and Twitch.

So agree with you. With Sympathy was his best, then twitch and his early wax trax singles. His side projects like Revolting cocks also had a few great songs. PTP had 3 great songs, then acidhorse-no name no slogan was great. But after twitch I only liked a song or two off each new album.

Back in the early 80's my Cousin introduced me to Ministry by lending me her cassette of " With Sympathy." I loved it so much I went and bought the cassette which I fortunately lost. I later in the 90's went to Tower Records in LA and bought the CD which I still have. This is the Ministry that I Love back when they were a New Wave/Synth Band I don't like their later Industrial Stuff. Al Jourgenson was a cutie back then now he's the shell of his former self due to all of the Heroine and drugs.

Sad + I read that he actually didnt enjoy the synth scene but was pushed by the label to do so. In my opinion if we would of stuck with the synth scene and found some passion he would of aged with it well musically.

Check out the new interview and the only interview he did regarding his time with Arista Records. Love the album but I now understand his disdain with it. th-cam.com/video/SU6-uMVECRE/w-d-xo.html
