So I'm sitting on the back porch, watching this video, and couldn't believe how easy they looked to make. I run to my studio and get out all my 12x12 papers, score board, glue, corner rounder etc... Low and behold!! I made 6 of them in under an hour!!! WHAAAAAAAT???? I'm giving them out as gift card holders with Christmas cards in them this year!! Super easy, super fun!! Thank you, Liz!!! 💖💖💖
Julie @ Camilla craft designs is absolutely hilarious! She brings sunshine to the cloudier days.. I did all the 6x 6 she just did!! My goodness she’s amazing ! Thank you for sharing your take Liz and as always for turning in the camera. Hugs 🤗
FANTASTIC!! I will make and add as inserts in my journals. Love that they have closures. I want to use my magnets for that. I've been itching to use magnets!!! Yep, get out the 12X12s. Especially the 1-sided stuff. I will be making these this week. Love 'em!! Thank you for video. I HAVE to measure!!! And I love to use my score board too. So THANKS for giving us measurements and score lines. You are a great instructor! Austin,TX USA
This is the first time I’ve watched a video all the way through and then gathered the materials and tools, and played it again to follow along. Love this idea!
That is really cool and I cannot wait to make some today! Just a hint I will share in case some folks might find it useful… When I’m gluing I will often use my bone folder to help it to adhere once I know everything is properly in place. I will also sometimes make my score line and then fold against the scoreboard so that I have that edge as a guide to make sure I’m folding straight. I’m a blind person and so I use interesting little hacks that help me make my projects work. Thank you so much for the terrific tutorials! I like all of your projects and I especially enjoy the Velcro closure and I think that is what I will try first. Ronda
Loved this project! You made it so easy to follow along that I went ahead and purchased a score board to make these. I already had 12x12 sitting around and didn't know what to do with them. I made 3 pockets in less than an hour and plan to decorate them tomorrow. They were super fun to make. Thank you for sharing.
Love it. I can't wait to make one of these for my granddaughter who is away at college. I will put a gift card in one pocket and some cash in the other. I can put some cute and funny tags in the side pocket. So much fun. fts!!
My head is already spinning with ideas for making this pocket journal out of one sheet of card stock! So simple and cute. Also, thanks for showing the three closures. That gives me ideas, too! As always, you inspire me.
I want to try this with those large center prints from 12x12 paper pads, that you wouldn't normally be able to use, and then embellish over any upside down areas. I'm with you... So many possibilities for happy mail
Such easy to follow instructions! I’m using this crafty project to enter an online challenge. Thanks so much! My two favourites are the shabby chic one and the fall one.
I apologize I hit the thumbs down by mistake I was too quick it’s a thumbs up it’s absolutely beautiful I made it along with you and it is beautiful thank you so much I would love to see you do more of these❤
That is so neat how you do it out of one piece of paper 12 by 12 you could use it in a photo album too just glue it to a page and it would be nice thanks for sharing that with everyone
Thank you so much Liz, I really really enjoyed watching you create that amazing triple pocket thingy. I’m definitely going to try this out. It’s a great way to create these for happy mail etc. Please stay safe and well too. Oh he shabby chic one is my favourite. xxx Mags
I like them all and cannot pick a favorite. I love the purple/yellow combo since they're opposite on the color wheel, they are visually appealing. My grandkids are adopting our elderly neighbors on Grandparent's Day this Sunday, so this will be perfect to hold their adoption papers, a photo of their new grandkids, and some artwork from them, as well. Now, to pick out the paper to use...that will be the hardest part of this whole thing!! Thanks, Liz!! Also, thanks for giving credit to the crafter for your inspiration; I've noticed a lot of people conveniently forget which channel or who they got the idea from and I sometimes think it's because they don't want to potentially lose the viewing traffic if their viewers like the other channel better!
I made 2 of these already. You are my favourite TH-camr, your projects are so unique, not terribly time consuming and right now I want to use up all my 12 by 12 papers. I don't know why I buy so many yet do not use them! Thank you.
You know, if you don't glue down the piece that becomes the underside of flap for the bottom pocket, you can turn it into a pocket, too. It's the piece that you cut at 8:00. For that matter, you could do the same with the upper flap, too, with a line of glue to separate it from the back pocket, but it may be tricky to keep things from falling out of that one. Clever use of a 12x12 sheet, thank you. ~ Lisa
Wow, just saw this done on another channel & made one they had listed your channel so I watch this and it was much faster & easier to make great for continuing my stash build up! Thanks for sharing 🥳❣️new subie to your channel.
Hard to decide which one I like best! I love purple, and the sari silk closure, but not a fan of the color palette embellishment on that one. The shabby chic one is absolutely beautiful as well, but I'm not a fan of Velcro closures. Love the look of the belly band and everything on the fall theme one, but not sure about sliding off the band for a closure every time. Lovely inspiration in all of them! Thank you for sharing!
i would love a mix between the flower and fall one the most. ik think the colors mach very well together. and i want to make a midnight sky one, i just bought papers for it today
I am so happy about this tutorial. I have been moving house and unpacking. I realised that I have so many scrapbook paper which I have not used and did not have any ideas. Thank you so much Liz!
Good afternoon Liz such awesomeness and so quick and easy! I am totally inspired to create some, thank you for all you do! Love the fall pocket, such beautiful colours 🌹❤️ hope you are well
Hi Liz I am loving these but having a little trouble with the paper not staying flat, after I glue and fold ??? I hope you understand what I'm trying to say and maybe let me know where I'm going wrong. I probably just need some practice
Make sure to score the lines really well, I find that helps. Also, depending on the thickness of your paper it may shift more and make it harder. So yes keep playing with it until you get it however works best for your paper. 😊
Hi how are you? Thank you for giving measurements. This is a suggestion to help keep score lines from skipping I saw from other channels. However I can't recall the names..either use crumbled wax paper on the lines or line before scoring. Or use your finger, it's from natural oils in your skin. Not oily or greasy hands/ fingers. Cheers
Thanks Liz to mention Camila as I had to go over to her as I don't have a board with inch-messerments.
Love my envelops. Thanks
