I loved the scene where Richie looks up and sees a pic of Carmy and the dessert chef standing right next to him. Realizing that story he told was about Carmy was incredible

i love carmy's monologue at the end while he's in stuck in walk-in, thinking he was talking to tina, about how he decides that he doesn't need any amusement or enjoyment in his life, that his life should only be the kitchen and nothing more. because sometimes that's the kind of sacrifice it takes to be a great artist. only for claire to be one who was really listening.
Fak calls him Han Solo, which on the surface is the character’s cute nod to Empire Strikes Back, but it can be interpreted deeper: Han neglected old debts to Jabba and got fridged for it just like Carmy neglected self-awareness and dealing w/ his trauma; simultaneously, if we contrast Han and Carmy, Han famously says “I know” when Leia tells him she loves him in calm acceptance of his fate, but Carmy tries beating his way out of the fridge in disbelief that anyone could love him, which is how he hurts Claire and Richie
Well but the point is that that is flawed thinking. That’s why Luca’s episode is so important. In order to really operate at that level you have to spend just as much time out there as you do in here. Really wise words.
Richie was right by calling him Donna. Carm resembled Donna in the Berzatos episode, I hope its going to be a character development arc where he realizes he doesnt have to be the best chef in the best restaurant and he should also live a life outside and realize he can rely on Sydney who I can see achieving her dreams. Also feminists seem to hate her but I really really liked Claire Bear.
The character development this season is just magical and pure. I truly care about all of them, and that rarely happens. It's a flat out masterpiece. I like to point out carmys mom was not just "drunk on red wine". Its been hintend multiple times she suffers from sever mental illness. They wine doesn't help, but its not the reason she lashes out.
I agree, yes she's an alcoholic but she's also definitely mentally ill. It broke my heart when she didn't go in to the Friends and Family dinner in the final episode because she thought her children would be better off without her there.
I mean she's (or was) an alcoholic, it's evident in the way that Natalie keeps watching the bottles emptying and alcoholism is tied to mental disorders. Maybe she drinks bc of the disorders, maybe the disorders exacerbate her drinking but the drinking is paramount to how she acts and how people react to her.
as someone who grew up with an alcoholic, mentally ill mother, I can tell you that was both an amazingly brilliant performance by Jamie Lee Curtis, and also really difficult to watch.
Something I love so much about this show is for however stress-inducing and gut-wrenchingly devastating it can get, it's also incredibly kind-hearted. It cares about its characters and makes you fall in love with everyone and desperately want them to succeed. We have our focus on the main cast like Carmy and Syd, but we also get such lovely moments with Fak, who might have been just the comedic relief this season but also showed he genuinely cared about his role in the restaurant. And Pete, who seemed like a bit a butt of the joke character got that heartbreaking moment in the finale.
That Pete scene is so damn relatable when someone you love has the worst family. I thought about that with my girlfriend's mom. She'd be the same way and I would die inside knowing I had to do that.
Pete crying was just so heartbreaking, how he was so empathetic to Donna and Nat at the same time, truly that made the character shine, he's just so good
@@MrBudderGoggles Pete defines what it is to be someone’s peace and how challenging but vital that is also. Often times we(media) glorifies the intense emotions, the yelling and obnoxious reactions and loudness. It’s ultimately so important to have a Pete.
Sydney’s montage of her brain creating and picturing the dish in her mind was done so well I had to pause it and explain to my girlfriend just how cool it actually was. It goes by somewhat fast but it was so well done
Oh my god you are the worst type of person. That picture of the guy at the basketball game talking into that woman's ear, that's you. Imagine watching a show and enjoying it and the douchebag you've decided to date pauses it to mansplain it to you because he thinks you don't understand how cool it is...
the taylor swift scene might be one of the biggest emotional high points i've ever seen in television. Just a perfect incorporation of a pop song into a show, up there with the "run away with me" scene from Mr Robot.
Totally agree. The musical snippets are sublime. I lost it in the scene of the Fire Suppression test everyone is excited and then I hear the acoustic guitar intro of Hunters & Collectors "Throw your arms around me" Us Kiwis share some amazing music with our Aussie neighbours and that song out of Melbourne is beautiful. That moment killed me. Every episode just has magical moments.
I caught myself getting emotional throughout multiple parts of this season. The chocolate banana brought tears to my eyes for some reason. It's like all this tension in relationships is released and I couldn't help but let go of all that uneasiness through my tears. It's an extremely human show, and I believe a lot of TV and Cinema is missing that these days.
This show is fucking phenomenal. Over the past year my house burned down and I’ve been working construction to rebuild and more recently a friend of mine killed himself. I also come from an incredibly dysfunctional Italian family. So seeing this put to screen with all the construction, and grief, and italian-isms was just insane. Never have I felt more closely seen by a piece of media. This is why we make art fr.
I’m very sorry to hear all that my dude. I do agree that The Bear is a phenomenal piece of art, and I’m glad to hear your able to enjoy and relate so closely to it. Wishing you all the best!
Fishes and Forks are absolute MASTERPIECES. Richie went from my most disliked to my most loved, I actually punched the air with tears of joy. John Mulany's Stevie HAS to return in season 3 too surely, his love of the craziness of the Berzatto family and the humour and love he has for it is exactly how I am at family gatherings 😂
The scene between Donna and Pete in the last episode hit me like a truck, it's just so wholesome and sad, at the same time, pure perfection, just thinking about it, brings a lot of emotions in me.
I’m rewatching season 1 with my lady who hasn’t seen the show yet. And hearing her say she hates Tina or Richie is so like gutwrenching bc i was literally like FIST PUMPING for them in S2. Every character gets this wonderful turnaround in S2. Its a masterpiece. Its raw, its heartbreaking, its beautiful. It sucks you into their lives and makes you feel what they feel. It’s the best thing I’ve laid eyes on
Tina was scary in s1! In Syd's place I would have quit after day one, no way I would be able to deal with that attitude. And I've never been happier to watch someone get stabbed than Richie by Syd. But they're my two favorite characters now! Their evolution was so natural, so realistic! Wonderful writing.
I’m a Chef of 30 years. I’ve done everything from bar food to fine dining. No other television show, scripted or otherwise has ever gotten the experience of working in a restaurant or being a Chef right until The Bear came along . It gets it right on every level. It’s truly the best show out there and I don’t say that because of what I do. It is because it is.
Side note loved Rita's little moment having fun with the chefs in her cooking class. An older woman who we haven't seen let loose like that and she can sing and it's just the most brilliant little add-on to her character. I love everything about this show
There are like 3 moments when Tina just beams with joy and it broke me every time. When she apologises for not giving Carmy back his knife and he’s like ‘I don’t remember asking for it back’ was just so lovely
I'm so obsessed with this show. I decided to binge both seasons on a whim. Finished in 2 days. I loved the fast pace of season one. Season two was a perfect expansion of the 1st season. The music is perfect throughout the series. I'm so looking forward to season 3. The 'under the table' scene with Carmi and Syd gave me the feels!
The cast is so utterly perfect; the regulars and the guest stars The writers are incredible, everyone has arcs, small details get expanded over time.. some moments are pure magic and paying attention always pays off Definitely one of the most lovingly constructed pieces of art on the small screen right now
john bernthal’s character is that well portrayed that it almost makes the viewer themselves grieve for more of him in the show. absolutely brilliant show
I cannot explain how much better this show is as a restaurant industry employee. Started on the line and now serve in a restaurant shooting for a michelin star and man does this show get it all right, sums up just about everything into a fast paced journey.
I've always wondered how accurate the chaotic portrayal of the service industry is on The Bear, but I always felt like it wasn't exaggerated like a lot of other dramas. I appreciate your confirmation. And I'm super jealous that you're able to empathize so keenly with the show! 😩
This is probably the best show ive watched on television. Im hoping season 3 we get more episodes. The character driven storytelling is whats been missing on tv for the last 5+ years.
@@goleer6694lol op couldn’t have seen too many show but the bear is definitely excellent though. Succession is just one of the many shows better than the bear. Again though the bear is incredible up to this point it certainly has a chance to reach my top fifteen maybe even top ten shows, but I can’t go that far yet.
I honestly think the bears dialogue, especially in the second season is some of the best written dialogue in tv. It all seems to real, the way people converse and shoot the shit to becoming scattered and can’t recollect a thought. And its scary how much his family home looked like mine while all the family was getting drunk 😂
Isn’t it cool thought how the fork thrown in fishes also comes the task of redundace of cleaning. It’s like Richie remembering that night but then is the turning point where he needs to changes life around.
Totally agree. Went into s1 with low expectation and was blown away. But, before s2, expectations were through the roof and somehow still exceeded it. GREAT show!
Great video. You made me realize that the episode Forks is a double entendre: the literal forks that Richie was cleaning and all the forks in the road for he and all of the other characters. Brilliant show
richie is my favorite character and making him a swiftie was so beautiful the way they used taylor in the storytelling where in fishes the baby mom was wearing a 1989 tshirt was so true to taylor's easter eggs, as a big fan i just adored it. i loved your video!!!
Forks was peak television. I have never gone from being absolutely devastated for someone when Tiffany talked about her engagement to being super pumped and rooting for someone when Richie started to get his act together in such a small amount of time.
Absolutely loved how in the last episode parts of episode was shot in one take like in the disaster episode from season 1, but then when the chefs get back in control it goes back to broken up shots. Astounding attention to detail and excellent use of visual story telling
I was telling my GF about how they talk like Midwesterners where they're always breaking each others balls and how I could see myself in those scenes. Usually on TV shows it's really written for NYers and Californians and it's so not relatable for me but the way these guys talk I totally get it.
When Mikey kicks the table up and goes to throw hands, I went outside and had to take a smoke break from watching the show and I don’t smoke. I’ve been at some family dinners where the meal was on the literal edge of it going over
@@jackiegamracy5125 that is the portrayal of broken/disfunctional family and it felt that great they acknowledged it thru the characters. it is uncomfortable, makes you pause coz its too much bcoz well it is. i dont remember any other scene ever being this real. i felt literal dread and choked in Fishes episode.
I listen all the time to the ‘Marcus’ track - Eno & John Cale ‘Lay my Love’ - from way back in the day…it fits Marcus’s Inner Man like a glove… I am grateful beyond words for this wondrous series! 🙏🏽💔🙏🏻
I've never watched a show with such intense emotional rollercoaster moments that could keep me around, but The Bear does just that by showing me some of the realest characters I've watched on TV. It's so grounded and so personal I feel like I'm there watching a trainwreck of a crew/family try their best to pull it together. Also big ups to Tina who became my favorite character this past season, not seeing her name enough!
rrichie's episode had me cheering for him like "yesss richie go get it" and i never thought i'd say that. richie was single handedly the biggest obstacle to dreams of progression and innovation that carmy and sydney had and now that he isn't an obstacle anymore carmy becomes the obstacle to his own dreams which is just so sad i couldn't sleep after finishing this series because i just felt so cheated.
Thank you for acknowledging that Claire is meant to be a conduit through which Carmy can experience the antithesis of everything he knows about love. Im sick of people devaluing her character as a "single mans dream" when its painfully obvious thats shes meant to represent stable and healthy love for a man thats never known what that feels like. Thank you.
So much flex to talk about, but “The Bear” has weaponized a sense of efficiency: so SO many seconds of screentime are loaded with nuance, layers, and interpretation What’s more a commonly lesser show would have let a monster episode 2.6 “Fishes” pull the weight of the season; whereas “The Bear” knows it’s weight, but doesn’t forfeit the importance of the other 9 episodes - ‘Fishes’ might be the main course, but it’s not the meal
The one hour family reunion episode was fantastic, so good, such a great show, love the characters, the viewer feels connected to this family and it is such a rollercoaster.
That Christmas dinner flashback was exquisite. Carm often looked like a moving breathing Rembrandt painting. And then we get Richie's episode, and it just, pardon the phrase, *chef's kiss *
I love how you point out the cinematography. I noticed the same thing - that the use of the camera would make Sergio Leone proud with the close close-ups and wide shots of Chicago. The authenticity of the show also stands out from restaurant culture to Italian families and broken people. I binged after raves from my son and it exceeded expectation.
As a highly critical tv and movie viewing crank who is quick to praise when deserved I appreciate this review and agree completely. Looking forward to more of your reviews!
So glad someone else noticed the montages. I watched the Chicago one at least ten times, paying attention to how they cut footage to the beat of the surprising backing track (from Durutti Column).
The Bear is one of my favorite TV shows at all time after watching Season 2. I don't work at a restaurant, but I can definitely relate to working "in the back" and how chaotic and stressful it is to budget, plan, and execute to make sure people enjoy themselves at an event. The unsung heroes of the service industry and the things people go through to make sure we enjoy ourselves when we go out.
obsessed with this show and I just KNEW they would bring it season 2 👏 they obviously nailed the fishes episode, but they also nailed all the specific character episodes! loved this video
Both the Xmas flashback episode and Richie finding his purpose (Forks) are amongst TV best episodes ever made.. The acting/dialogues/camerawork and the love these episodes show, just wow! Emmys 2023, watch this please!
Claire's character definitely needed more character development. She just came off as an immature flirt and set up to be a distraction, and it felt like they made her a surgeon to try and give her more of a reason to be admired but other than that she fell flat. I dont know how to explain it. I only liked her in the last episode when (SPOILER) Carmy was in the fridge just thinking out loud and she heard him and walked out. I feel like her being a surgeon she would totally understand high pressure situations, but they neglected all of that. Carmy finally had a forced moment of peace being stuck in the fridge and was just sorting out his thoughts. Doesn't mean he actually agrees with what he's thinking, just trying to work through it all to get to the conclusion. I want to see more of Claire in the next season but they need to give her more substance than cute flirty girl who happens to be a doctor too.
Agreed Agreed Agreed! You earned my subscribe on the first video of yours that I’ve seen. A truly beautiful show. A few more moments that I loved; Olivia Coleman, Tina’s reaction to Sydney asking her to be her sous and T's subsequent arc THRIVING in culinary school, the expectation that Ebra-not Richie-would be left behind only to find him thrilled to work the window, and Carmy/Syd utilizing ASL to respectfully pause disagreements. I can’t wait for more.
I also have fallen in love with this show!! The raw, honest, humanity of each character getting to their place in the setting feels inspiring!! Exciting!! So glad I found this show & can’t wait for season 3!!🥰
I loved the flashback episode, when I first watched it I felt so stressed the whole time not knowing what to expect! Amazing writing and editing and acting just ahhh
This show really gives all the feels doesn't it? There were some really amazing and uncomfortable scenes. What a well executed show. The acting felt so raw too, an unmatched level of authenticity.
The character arcs bend so hard it looks like a rainbow. This show is a force, man. I find myself binge rewatching it as fast as possible almost like doing a movie marathon. The definition of “buildup”, almost any scene provides a good lesson in writing. 10/10.
Bro. This breakdown is freaking phenomenal. So well edited and narrated. Considering the amount of views and likes this has gotten, you deserve way more subscribers. Brilliant stuff. Keep it up.
The way that they were able to build these complex characters in such a short amount of time was insane. Totally agree with what you said about feeling like they're real people. I was so proud of Richie's development in E7 like I know him in real life!!! Can't say enough good things about this show, I just love every second of it.
This show is brilliant! Watching a show and being able to relate to any given character's struggle with intense camera work is exactly the kind of TV show we needed. I wish I knew people in real life that appreciate good television!
The amount of fear and reservation of season 2 simply because of how great season 1 was had me worried, but man did season 2 meet or maybe even outperform it!
Episode 6 broke my heart man. It’s like I wanted at first to be there in the craziness but at the dinner scene it’s just so brutal with the uncle basically calling mike he’s nothing and you can just feel that this is what led to him doing what he does.
Ritchies episode honestly hit home. After years of working on a career you thought you had and then it fails, nothing rejuvenates you more than finding another purpose. Dropped a tear with a smile on my face during the love story car ride 😂
Richie and Marcus’s episodes were the best of the series including the season 2 finale especially when Mama Bear comes and Pete tries to tell her to come in. Just the acting and the emotion you feel from watching it is amazing something I haven’t experienced for a long time now.
Family Christmas going right into Forks was insane. Family christmas was one of the most stressful hours of TV I have ever watched. I literally was crying during parts of forks, so happy to see Ritchie finally have a purpose.
In this era of instant gratification when it comes to movies and shows, I watch the bear sparingly, so as to delay my rush. Other shows right now are just cheap candy.
I think having such a beautifully shot show really diving into what men's mental health is like, as well as the reality of hospitality is so good. The chemestry of the dialogue between the various characters is on another level too

It's such a gorgeously shot show as well as being a really good dramedy. All the different parts work really well together. The show is made with a lot of respect shown towards the restaurant industry and seems well researched as far as all the technical cooking scenes. I liked the movie the Menu, partially because of the gorgeous food photography in it. This show is jammed packed with that stuff. It really sells you on how far you can go with the culinary arts. It also beautifully captures the stresses and challenges of running and working in restaurants. It can be quite an anxiety inducing watch at times. I really fell in love with the characters and became very invested in their success.

@@c.i.demann3069Ms. Curtis did an incredible job, and the writing was spot on. I saw my mother in her performance too.
Oh that Pete scene got me real good. Terrific acting/writing.
That Pete scene is so damn relatable when someone you love has the worst family. I thought about that with my girlfriend's mom. She'd be the same way and I would die inside knowing I had to do that.
Pete crying was just so heartbreaking, how he was so empathetic to Donna and Nat at the same time, truly that made the character shine, he's just so good
Pete is such a wonderful character and such a good contrast to the Berzattos as a whole, it's no wonder Natalie married a guy like him
@@MrBudderGoggles Pete defines what it is to be someone’s peace and how challenging but vital that is also.
Absolutely wonderful moment as she highlights the Chicago restaurant scene at the same time
Oh my god you are the worst type of person. That picture of the guy at the basketball game talking into that woman's ear, that's you. Imagine watching a show and enjoying it and the douchebag you've decided to date pauses it to mansplain it to you because he thinks you don't understand how cool it is...
god i love her
the taylor swift scene might be one of the biggest emotional high points i've ever seen in television. Just a perfect incorporation of a pop song into a show, up there with the "run away with me" scene from Mr Robot.
I ugly cried during that scene. Richie's episode was perfection
I was tearing up during that scene.
And knowing he’s singing it with the history of that love story and his kid 😭😭
Mr robot still tops the bear me, so fucking good
I caught myself getting emotional throughout multiple parts of this season. The chocolate banana brought tears to my eyes for some reason. It's like all this tension in relationships is released and I couldn't help but let go of all that uneasiness through my tears. It's an extremely human show, and I believe a lot of TV and Cinema is missing that these days.
Agreed.
Take care man x
Fishes and Forks are absolute MASTERPIECES. Richie went from my most disliked to my most loved, I actually punched the air with tears of joy. John Mulany's Stevie HAS to return in season 3 too surely, his love of the craziness of the Berzatto family and the humour and love he has for it is exactly how I am at family gatherings 😂
Richie was downright badass with what he did, when he took off that blazer ... boy.... HE PUT IN THAT DAMN MFING WORK when shit hit the fan.
Great moment!
I was so into it I said out loud “go show em Richie !”
HE CLUTCHED THE FUCK UP AND KILLED THAT. I was so happy for him
@@hello7032LET ER RIP!
The scene between Donna and Pete in the last episode hit me like a truck, it's just so wholesome and sad, at the same time, pure perfection, just thinking about it, brings a lot of emotions in me.
Ikr it really stuck with me, and it made pete really a character with depth for me.
I hated Tina so much during the first few episode of S1 but her development was so beatiful that I always root for her after that
I’m a Chef of 30 years.
I love everything about this show
You mean Tina...
The 'under the table' scene with Carmi and Syd gave me the feels!
yep. That was beautiful. I look forward to seeing what the writers have in store for characters in S3
Season 1 was just something to watch for me. I've only seen like 3 episodes of this season but so far it feels much much deeper for some reason
The cast is so utterly perfect; the regulars and the guest stars
The writers are incredible, everyone has arcs, small details get expanded over time.. some moments are pure magic and paying attention always pays off
Definitely one of the most lovingly constructed pieces of art on the small screen right now
@@jconner78 Yes! Perfection indeed. I am rooting for all of the characters...like they're real people. Lol
Loved that long take of Carmy and Syd just releasing tension before their big day. Just calming while internally screaming
Richie's redemption was so damn good
john bernthal’s character is that well portrayed that it almost makes the viewer themselves grieve for more of him in the show. absolutely brilliant show
I cannot explain how much better this show is as a restaurant industry employee. Started on the line and now serve in a restaurant shooting for a michelin star and man does this show get it all right, sums up just about everything into a fast paced journey.
Best of luck on that star!
I've always wondered how accurate the chaotic portrayal of the service industry is on The Bear, but I always felt like it wasn't exaggerated like a lot of other dramas. I appreciate your confirmation. And I'm super jealous that you're able to empathize so keenly with the show! 😩
Fishes was a traumatic episode to watch and it explained a lot about Carmy, Sugar and Michael. Excellent even though it made me gag from the stress!
This is probably the best show ive watched on television. Im hoping season 3 we get more episodes. The character driven storytelling is whats been missing on tv for the last 5+ years.
Have you not watched succession?
Having John Mullaney as the guest star in the Fishes episode was such a treat
Richie's development made me cry, just beautiful writing and acting
Season 2 is remarkable. Every frame develops a character, every line of dialog develops a character.
The Bear is the quality level of Succession added with the anxiety of Shiva Baby. Wonderful.
The christmas dinner was an incredible representation of mania. The writing is so good and so awkward at times but so real, love it.
I’ve been at some family dinners where the meal was on the literal edge of it going over
Are people really like this? This family is so awful I'm not sure why anyone would put up with it. Most depressing hour of TV I've ever seen.
@@jackiegamracy5125 many many many families are like that. And when you meet them I mean shit
The music choices about did me in in a good way. Such amazing songs they picked.
I listen all the time to the ‘Marcus’ track - Eno & John Cale ‘Lay my Love’ - from way back in the day…it fits Marcus’s Inner Man like a glove…
I am grateful beyond words for this wondrous series!
The Bear might probably be the best series I've watched within the past 5 years
That Christmas episode stressed me out. But I couldn't stop watching. Brought back some memories too. But no one ever drove through the house.
rrichie's episode had me cheering for him like "yesss richie go get it" and i never thought i'd say that. richie was single handedly the biggest obstacle to dreams of progression and innovation that carmy and sydney had and now that he isn't an obstacle anymore carmy becomes the obstacle to his own dreams which is just so sad i couldn't sleep after finishing this series because i just felt so cheated.
Thank you.
So much flex to talk about, but “The Bear” has weaponized a sense of efficiency: so SO many seconds of screentime are loaded with nuance, layers, and interpretation
What’s more a commonly lesser show would have let a monster episode 2.6 “Fishes” pull the weight of the season; whereas “The Bear” knows it’s weight, but doesn’t forfeit the importance of the other 9 episodes - ‘Fishes’ might be the main course, but it’s not the meal
" 'Fishes' might be the main course, but it's not the meal."
BOOM! Beautifully put.
This recap video is stellar. Thank you!!
No, thank you!!
As a highly critical tv and movie viewing crank who is quick to praise when deserved I appreciate this review and agree completely. Looking forward to more of your reviews!
Always nice to meet another crackpot, thanks for the support!
The flashback episode was some of the best television i've watched
obsessed with this show and I just KNEW they would bring it season 2 👏 they obviously nailed the fishes episode, but they also nailed all the specific character episodes! loved this video
I want to see more of Claire in the next season but they need to give her more substance than cute flirty girl who happens to be a doctor too.
she gave off very manic pixie dream girl vibes, and while i dont hate her, i agree that she should have more substance
I think you described the exact intention
Wonderful tribute to a wonderful show! Made me pine to see what's next. So looking forward to your next episode 🎉
I'm about to watch season 2 again. We just watched the finale last night and I need to take it all in again. It's such a good show!
Keep it up.
You’re too kind, I appreciate you! Thanks!
Those long one shot monologues from Jeremy are F’N brilliant.
I just noticed 1:14 that the damn fridge guy hadn't been called since the very first episode, after Marcus threw the phone.
That’s a crazy detail 😂
The way that they were able to build these complex characters in such a short amount of time was insane. Totally agree with what you said about feeling like they're real people. I was so proud of Richie's development in E7 like I know him in real life!!! Can't say enough good things about this show, I just love every second of it.
Great bit of TV. I love the camera work and how it makes you anxious when the director wants it. Also, the follow shots are used in a great way.
The show is astounding. This review is so insightful and intelligent it actually made a perfect show even better for me. Thankks
This show is brilliant! Watching a show and being able to relate to any given character's struggle with intense camera work is exactly the kind of TV show we needed. I wish I knew people in real life that appreciate good television!
it’s really the closest thing we have to a perfect show
The amount of fear and reservation of season 2 simply because of how great season 1 was had me worried, but man did season 2 meet or maybe even outperform it!
my thoughts exactly!
One of the best shows ive watched in a long time.
Honeydew and Forks were so wonderfully done.. love this show!
The fridge guy is the main villain 😂
An absolutely piece of art of a show!!!! Great review✨🤝🔥
Richie and Marcus’s episodes were the best of the series including the season 2 finale especially when Mama Bear comes and Pete tries to tell her to come in. Just the acting and the emotion you feel from watching it is amazing something I haven’t experienced for a long time now.
Hilarious edits! Great video, you just earned a new sub :)
My friend the quality of your video is top notch. Keep it up. Will be looking for your videos here on out!
Glad you enjoyed my dude, thanks for the kind words!
Family Christmas going right into Forks was insane. Family christmas was one of the most stressful hours of TV I have ever watched. I literally was crying during parts of forks, so happy to see Ritchie finally have a purpose.
Incredible television, and a great video essay!
Agreed and thank you!
In this era of instant gratification when it comes to movies and shows, I watch the bear sparingly, so as to delay my rush. Other shows right now are just cheap candy.
Thanks for this breakdown. Loved The Bear and it's definitely one of the best.
So many great episodes Richie training, Marcus’s training and Fishes not to mention the last episode.
I think having such a beautifully shot show really diving into what men's mental health is like, as well as the reality of hospitality is so good. The chemestry of the dialogue between the various characters is on another level too
Binged watched the 2 seasons in 4 days.
It's a masterpiece, and as a cook, so relatable.
So everyone notices baker boys interest in syd, but no one notices her shut him down? Okay 😂😂
did u notice how thoroughly and immediately shut him down, but when carmy planned dinner together she immediately Agreed and even seemed excited
and also was disappointed after he stands her up😭
@@dazey8706 Look, I got my eye on Carmy and Sydney. That "under the table" scene was loaded. lol
@@dazey8706honestly I think she was excited because they're friends and she didn't have to worry about him hitting on her and they could just hang. Plus they were planning the menu and she really wants the restaurant to work idk just my two cents.
They both curse on it right after and it leads to a moment of tension in the finale. Which resolves when they have to fire the crackhead. Well done
it really has a brilliant story-telling. from the cinematography to sounds to the actors and the script its so good. Fishes ep was so chaotically captivating.
Season 2 of the Bear was great. Much better than season one imo. The Christmas family scene was a little intense and made me grateful for what I grew up with, cause I couldn't even imagine. Can't wait for season 3 and what struggles the Bear brings them.

great review. really great. i wanted someone to talk thru why it is so brilliant, just so i could agreeing and agreeing and agreeing. so much depth and joy and pain and anxt and flavour in that show. cheers
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
