That was something i hated in normal classic. In 90 % of the fights some "intellectually challenged" player pulled the skipped mobs, which could be defeated in under 1 min. And the timesave from 1min changed to a timewaste of 10 mins running from the graveyard. I thought that people who play hc would be seriously smarter to not do skips, but here we go 😂
Seeing the two french guys at 7:49 and constantly resetting the leash hurts me so hard. Guys, for real, before doing hardcore, just learn how the leash works. It will save you MANY times (and many time too), for real.
@@Fler64 a hamstring addon with /stopattack baked in is amazing for those kinds of moments where you need to slow the mob but don't want to leash it. can even do it as a mouseover macro
that mage running into corrin's crossing at level 59 was insane. i hesitated to go through there on my full pvp BIS warrior in r14 gear because u are just asking to be dazed

In classic WoW attacks from enemies dont consider vertical distance. If they are near you horizontally they will hit you. Doesnt matter if they are 100 yards above or below you.
The Boulderfist Maulers dual wield hammers and have an ability called Fist of Stone which you can see throughout the clip where their hands glow red but they move slowly. This ability increases their damage by some large flat amount but slows their attack and move speed. So for the first part of the clip where he is only getting hit by the guys who aren't using this ability and using his ice barrier, it looks like they aren't doing much damage. However, you can see a few seconds before death that when he runs under the spiral stairs above him there are at least 2 Maulers above him using this ability so he probably took somewhere around 1000 damage instantaneously even before considering critical strikes.
if mobs dont hit in a while they "save" their attacks, so if you get hit, you get hit multiple times for that "saved" attacks. Also the mob was enrage and i guess he got hit from one or two other mobs too. At the end he deserves to die for beeing that stupid doing this that way
Mistakes/what could have been done: 00:30 | Mage really did not AOE at all. Priest had 2k mana and gave up. Rogue had a Hi-Explosive Bomb and didn't use it. Hunter was literally AFK all fight. Warrior didn't LOS. 01:35 | Warrior had target dummies. He could easily have thrown a dummy, used Piercing Howl, Intercepted & Hamstringed a mob further away to gain distance. He could also have used Intimidating Shout on any other mobs he would've aggroed while running away (Golems are immune to it). When fleeing, it is recommended to use Defensive Stance for -10% damage taken. Poor lad also had a shield in the bag which he could've equipped for further mitigation. 02:10 | The group chose a poor route, as both sides are considered more safe (right side requires 1 walljump). The sides have easily accessible safe spots which were not utilized. 03:45 | Rogue was fully aware of the boss casting a Pyroblast on him, but didn't Vanish, LOS or pop a Fire Protection Potion. Healer saw the 1600 damage debuff but didn't bother to heal. Tank was 3rd on threat when the clip started. Boss was at 25% health when the clip started and it took the group approximately 12 seconds to kill the target, meaning the group's combined DPS was only 407, which -- by any metric -- is ridiculously low between a tank and 3 damage dealers. 04:05 | Paladin focusing on wrong targets and not seeing incoming hits. Paladin did not use Divine Shield despite having multiple seconds to react. Priest did not shield Paladin when he was affected by a heavy DoT/Disorientation effect. Paladin did not use Fire Resistance Aura. Off-tank could have spothealed with a Rejuvenation. 04:30 | Poor strategy and execution. The bone pile is a physical object that easily cuts line of sight. Easiest method would've been for Paladin to bubblepull and Mage/Warlock to ranged AOE with Warrior only focusing on the boss. Paladin did not BoP tank to save his life. Mage bailed the group unnecessarily. Warlock didn't AOE. 05:20 | Mage should have bailed immediately after he pulled the Shaman upstairs. You can't grab the quest item if your looting is interrupted by a damaging spell. This quest is relatively easily soloable for any Mage at this level range by simply using Ice Barrier, Frost Nova, Polymorph and Blink to strategically and efficiently loot the three required items. The easy safe spots are all located outside, so the safest method is to root, loot and run. The Mage was also oblivious to the fact that mobs can hit you from an infinite range from above and below. 06:10 | This player chose an inexplicably poor path to reach his destination. The elite Scarlet Courier spends a lot of time in this town, as they kill any and all undead mobs that come close to them. Statistically speaking, you're the most likely to ever find the Courier right here in this town due to this. Corin's Crossing is also home to invisible mobs that can easily daze you, as you can't know which way to face to avoid getting hit in the back. You can easily run around this village from the right side, or from the left if you run around the crevice. In any case, you never want to run right along the roads here, because that's where all the invisible mobs (and the courier) are. The Mage could've popped a healing potion or Light of Elune, Mana Shield, root and even Slow Fall to survive with almost absolute certainty. 06:40 | You never autorun in zones like this. Based on the items he had in his disposal, he had absolutely no chance of surviving a fall. The player was named "Psyktrop" which suggests he may have been under the influence of psychotropic substances. 06:55 | Looting a Blood of Heroes always summons 1-3 level 58-60 elite Fallen Heroes. They infamously cast a minute-long debuff reducing your movement speed by 60%. You essentially only need their items to summon the ZG event bosses, Libram of Rapidity and Breastplate of the Chromatic Flight. I personally looted these on my Rogue and found that when you instantly stealth after looting them, you can often completely avoid aggroing the heroes, so I assume the same strategy could've worked for this Druid. 07:15 | I'm tired of commenting on the deaths of complete idiots.
Yeah well the thing is people grind for hours and hours. After 10h in a row of pure grind people start to lose focus and thats when deaths are more likely to happen

Hardcore players either have never played the game before (which, if so, begs the question why choose hardcore as their first experience) or are those players who think retail is too fast/too hard and regular classic endgame has gate-kept them. The amount of deaths from simple lack of awareness, lack of reaction, or just simple lack of skill is mind boggling.
Saying it proves that you do not play HC. No, it is not that mind boggling ^^'. It takes but a single mistake, a single wild spawn, a single moment of distraction or simply bad luck to die in this mode. A single second out of dozens upon dozens of hours of play. And let's not even talk about panic (everything is fine in a HC run... until it's not and you find yourself in a terrible spot, making you lose your composure). You lack knowledge to judge some of those clips. You see 10sec of a bad play and think "LOL, what a noob", but you would probably make the same mistakes after such a long period of time. The more you play, the more mistakes you are bound to make at one point. So try to be more humble : nobody plays perfectly 100% of the time, we are not machines :P

Nah it's selection bias. Of course a lot of these clips have bad players, they're the ones dying. There are plenty of good hc players, you just don't see them on here often because they're not dying much. And then when they do we see only the few seconds among hundreds of hours where they lost focus or made just one mistake or maybe got distracted by irl stuff. Go look at the death clips of literal rank 1 players. They're indisputably good players but look like idiots in their death clips.

Hardcore players either have never played the game before (which, if so, begs the question why choose hardcore as their first experience) or are those players who think retail is too fast/too hard and regular classic endgame has gate-kept them. The amount of deaths from simple lack of awareness, lack of reaction, or just simple lack of skill is mind boggling.
Saying it proves that you do not play HC. No, it is not that mind boggling ^^'. It takes but a single mistake, a single wild spawn, a single moment of distraction or simply bad luck to die in this mode. A single second out of dozens upon dozens of hours of play. And let's not even talk about panic (everything is fine in a HC run... until it's not and you find yourself in a terrible spot, making you lose your composure). You lack knowledge to judge some of those clips. You see 10sec of a bad play and think "LOL, what a noob", but you would probably make the same mistakes after such a long period of time. The more you play, the more mistakes you are bound to make at one point. So try to be more humble : nobody plays perfectly 100% of the time, we are not machines :P

Yall see the absolute worst clips bc thats all thats worth watching. If the guy died in a normal way, it wouldnt even be posted. Imagine watching content on the 1% of idiots then claiming the entire playerbase is that way.
Nah it's selection bias. Of course a lot of these clips have bad players, they're the ones dying. There are plenty of good hc players, you just don't see them on here often because they're not dying much. And then when they do we see only the few seconds among hundreds of hours where they lost focus or made just one mistake or maybe got distracted by irl stuff. Go look at the death clips of literal rank 1 players. They're indisputably good players but look like idiots in their death clips.
@@tagrerte4701 that is true but I've seen a fair few people on the game admit that it is their first time playing the game, and pretty much all of them admitted they had seen the youtube clips or twitch streams and that is what piqued their interest
