Best MLP comic ever made. The story of Celestia and Luna, and their relationship to one another, is something I've been hoping to see in the series for some time. But this comic did a fantastic job of portraying it in a way that was both believable and very touching. Bravo Nimaru.
Nimaru's comics are, in my opinion, some of the best MLP art out there. The story that's been put into it is not only well-written, but also incredibly touching and provides a lot of depth and development for two characters that sorely need it. So much do I love this comic and those that followed that this is now my official "head-canon" for the backstories of Luna and Celestia. If Hasbro ever try to do anything even remotely close to this in the show, I will be a very happy Brony.
My first reaction to these was "Oh boy, treading dangerous territory here aren't ya?" Then I fell in love with it. THEN I realized the person that made it also made my favorite comic. FINALLY, I saw the ending and had tears in my eyes so I liked, faved, and am now sharing this video and the corresponding comic with people.
This comic pretty much predicted the Tantabus (or however you spell it). This comic came out in 2011, while the official episode came out in 2015 (I think)
I remember seeing an alternate device as to why Luna went Nightmare Moon. Discord, while contained, wasn't 100% locked up, since you can never truly stop Chaos. An "echo" of him lived on, hopping from ponies minds, whispering to them. It was Discord whispering to Luna's thoughts that twisted her emotions and allowed Nightmare Moon to form. It has it's holes, but anything dones. P.S. Bath-hair Luna is so adorable.
IT IS THE CANON STORY AND ALWAYS IT WILL BE! NIMARU IS THE GREATEST ONE EVER FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN AND IT'S THANKS TO HIM THE STORY IS TRUE BECAUSE THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING! This shows also that everything in the book was part of a legend written by those who knew not the true tale and Celestia was unware that this this was made because she was still too heartbroken after losing Luna and her parents to that dreaded Miasma for she was all alone now.
Nimaru, thank you for this blessing as I always had believed that it was a greater evil that was trying to destroy everything and Celestia and Luna are the only ones that can stop it as they are the incarnations of all good and it was this force that was trying to destroy both the Divine Sisters and their parents. Luna never truly was turning into what she and Celestia stand against as their hearts were pure even though resentment did come but what prevented it from truly showing was love.
Nimaru, who is in fact the reason for this blessing here did a fabulous job as it does indeed tell the true story of what really happened so long to Celestia and Luna and the threat was so great that from the heavens themselves their parents managed to make it in the nick of time to save Celestia and it is right here as it it is the proof this Miasma is the reason for everything that happened. This story is the true story to me and always I will be sticking with it no matter what.
I cried so hard. THIS is why I love MLP. not because everyone else likes it..but because of love. This world is emptying very quickly of the very thing it needs most.

THAT was kind of obvious and sort of implied in the shows 2nd episode in the opener, but I understand your observation for there could have been more drama a intense emotion behind the events of THAT moment, I may not be a brony but I hope they go deeper into the story between Tia and Luna on the fateful night in S4.
Well, I've seen a lot of these beautiful fan arts of Luna sitting on the Moon's surface, looking sadly on her homeland... But she has never been to the Moon literally! Nightmare Moon was banished IN the Moon, that means she was sealed INSIDE of it! So, I guess she has been in some kind of anabiosis for the whole time... Of course, that doesn't justifies me or my actions, but atleast Luna's banishment wasn't as long and painful as many of you may used to think.
Even in the present day of the Mane 6 showed that even then Celestia had no idea how her sister had been portrayed as but once she got Luna back she would then dedicate herself into helping Luna reclaim the loyalty of the ponies and her rightful place as Princess of the Night again. The reason we don't see her and Luna much is because they were traveling all over their world of Equestria and Celestia and Luna can perform their duty even when they aren't at Canterlot.
My only critique is that some of the frames and dialogue bubbles when by too fast. I had to either pause or back-track and pause, which broke the flow of the lovely music. This got very irritating. That aside, this was awesome! Like Rainbow Dash pulling off a quintuple Rainboom awesome. I've seen all three parts. Great story, well told, perfect visuals. I don't care what Ms. Faust throws at us. As far as I'm conserned, this is cannon.
Its too bad I didn't see this sooner. I see you already made a part 2. But for another comic, could you use the same song as in one of my videos I made as a video response?
I don't really know that many sad songs but it has to be something softer that goes slower, because this story needs to reflect more on the lines inside the video and not the lyrics of the song. The tune of the song just has to create the appropriate atmosphere for this story to carve its way into our imaginations.
Oh yes people I think you had best check deviantart as if you have seen the gamer Luna pictures then their is one on it where Luna is more terrified then she could ever be as the greatest horror in gaming but not just that as it is in everything that horror and true fear asks her a question as to if she is such a huge gamer then why haven't she played Earthbound yet and she looking so terrified says no reason. If you know him then you do know it is the name all fear known as Giygas.
3:31 the guard's face is priceless, I would feel the exact same way!! if not with a looking more awkward and having a little sweat coming down the back of my neck!
Watch the clips of each part and see truly how the Divine Sun herself tried everything to save her beloved little sister from the greatest evil Equestria has ever faced. Even Celestia at full power wasn't enough to stop the dreaded Miasma but hope remained as two themselves came from the Heavens to save their precious daughters and it was the Creators themselves and it was thanks to them Luna was saved as well Celestia who would sacrifice herself to save Luna.
They're there, but her stroke (the color used to outline her) is so light that it almost matches her coat. Try adjusting your screen, they'll stand out more that way.
