    Much appreciated. Great video. We’re heading to Manuel Antonio for the first time next week. Looks like there’s some good Indian spots too. You should check those out

    Hi Emma Great video. Been here now two months and been to some of the places you mentioned and you are spot on. I spent 42 years in restaurants in the states so I can appreciate a nice place with value. I would like to recommend Vista Verde. I go fairly often as it is very close to where I live it's right across from the soccer field. They have fixed it up a lot in the last month. Chef Fabion has an incredible menu with a lot of variety, Street view in the front and jungle view in the back, always seems to be a sloth there to. Price is moderate a little more than soda Angel that is also great. Very friendly service
    On a bummer note:( There is a place that you mentioned in the area of the entrance to the National Park, I forgot the name the place you mentioned the price went up a little from last time you were there big breakfast for like 3200 included coffee and pancake all I can say is "NO" the worst breakfast I think anyone has ever collected money for.
    Thanks for the video now I know where to find pita bread to. :)
    Ill keep my eye out for you in this amazing town. Pura Vida

      Thanks so much for the feedback Paul! I'm glad to hear you are slowly knocking down the list! I have been to Vista Verde once, back in March, it was alright, however I just got the basic Casado, so I don't think they could really go too wrong there, but the location is perfect. I have also tried Puerto Escondido, the other night, and all the the prices are a bit higher (not by much compared to other spots) the food was absolutely wonderful, I will be going back there 100%!
      Feel free to say hi if you see me around :)
      Thanks for watching!

    I didn’t hear you talk about La Luna at Gaia. If you are still here, you need to check it out. It is the best sunset spot here. Get a drink and an appetizer in the bar. The tuna medallions (tuna tataki) is the best I’ve ever had. No one else can touch it.
    Also, get to Morpho Bar stat! You have to go in dry season because the great outdoor area isn’t open in rainy season. It ranks in my top 3 best restaurants in town.

    Any good vegan eats over there? :)

    • @EmmainCostaRica
      @EmmainCostaRica  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately in Manuel, there are not any SPECIFIC restaurants catered to vegan eats, but most places WILL accommodate! The sushi places - ask for only veggie rolls, actually I believe they have the little leaf signs to show which ones are only veg - the falafels are also vegan I am pretty sure, no cheeses/milky sauces, no eggs!
      I could keep going but yeah, most places have some sort of option. I know in Dominical there are MANY vegan/veggies options at restaurants!

    Hi Emma, I’m going to Manuel Antonio in a month. Definitely going to your top 3 places to eat. Is there any night life over there? Like to go out all night and have some drinks

    • @EmmainCostaRica
      @EmmainCostaRica  ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! For nightlife, which will be in a video with my friend Sarah at some point, I would recommend Selina for the events they usually hold on week nights, or if you want a very local experience, Republik in Quepos!

  • @pugdogsforever
    @pugdogsforever 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Emma, we are so very excited to travel to Quepos, CR in May. We plan to visit several of the restaurants you recommended. However, for dinner on other nights to save money, we want to eat at the sodas. Do you recommend any? Thanks in advance! Cincinnati, Ohio

    • @EmmainCostaRica
      @EmmainCostaRica  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I am so glad you enjoyed and found my video helpful! My favorite spots would be Soda Sanchez, or, De La Finca, orrrr Smoked to Go in Quepos. There's also a bar/restaurant in La Marina Pez Vela called Double Hook, they have great prices, typical pub-style food. There aren't too many "Sodas" in Manuel Antonio, but the one I see lots of people at is called Soda Angel! Hope this helps!

    Hi Emma one place you didn`t mention is the Cuba Libra . We went their once on a tour to Manuel Antonio Park and we thought the food was delicious and they have a very beautiful view towards the park and beach . Last year my friend Carl and I went to El Avion also on a tour to Manuel Antonio and because the food was included with the cost of the park tour we thought it was pretty reasonable and of course the plane it self is an attraction. Many years ago I went to Si Como No just for some beers with my friends . The reason I went to check it out was because my favourite singer Jimmy Buffett stayed there once and wrote about it in his book . I told the owner I knew Jimmy Buffett stayed there and he told me If I booked a room for a week or two all my Margaritas would be on the house because of Jimmy`s song Margaritaville . Anyway I never went back as we always stay in Jaco and from Jaco make day trips. BTW I`m love for you to make a similar video of all the Jaco restaurants. Well dear I better stop talking and thanks again for another very interesting video and can`t wait for your next one , Cheers 🥂 Lindsay 💛

    • @EmmainCostaRica
      @EmmainCostaRica  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heya! Cuba Libre is actually now in Marina Pez Vela, as of this year! The food I find is actually even better, you'll have to go when you come down!
      Thanks for watching Lindsay!

      We are coming to Manuel Antonio tomorrow from the US. Super excited. We are planning on zip line, and of course spending time at the Park. Do you recommend any other tour ? Have 18 and 13 yr old boys with us. Falls/hanging bridges, hot springs? We have car rented so don’t mind driving outside of Manuel Antonio to see something cool. Would love any advice.

    • @EmmainCostaRica
      @EmmainCostaRica  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lorijames9478 given the age of your boys, I would definitely recommend the catamaran tour, or since you guys will have a car, you could also go to the rainmaker which is a cool hike with waterfalls. If you wish to book the catamaran let me know! I can coordinate it all for you guys!
