I was briefly around some Akha in northern Thailand 20 years ago, and in November/December of 2023, was in northern Laos and did a walking tour through a few Akha villages (Akha Chupia and Akha Puli subgroups). Any idea which Akha subgroups reside in northern Thailand?

It must be a mistake, the Hmong people do not side up to help the communists, Hmong are now scattered across the globe because we have been fighting the communists.

Agreed... Mong helped the USA fight Communist.
I think he said they helped the rebels against communist. I had to listen to that 3 times..
Not sure what he meant though...

I just read an article from The Voice of the Martyrs magazine about the Akha tribe expelling people from their village in Laos and banishing them from the land because of their belief and faith in Jesus and Christianity. Not cool.

Christianity has not been "cool" to many people for many centuries. They are justified to do so and I support them.

Would that be the Christian faiths that harbours all their pedo's associated with their church

It must be Akha, as it’s definitely not Thai and the cadence/tonal inflections don’t sound Hmong, and he is native Akha. Granted, I don’t speak Akha nor Hmong, and only known a handful of Thai words and phrases. I was in northern Thailand 20 years ago and heard a bit of Akha spoken, and in late November/early December of 2023 was in northern Laos and did a walk-through tour of three Akha villages (Akha Chupia and Akha Puli subgroups) and heard Akha most recently spoken. I don’t know which subgroup of Akha mainly resides in northern Thailand, or if the Akha subgroups all speak the same dialect? My guide for the far north of Laos was Hmong but also spoke some Akha (and perhaps some Punoi and T’ai Deng, as I did hear him speak with some of those village residents, and it didn’t sound like they were speaking in Lao?), in addition to Lao and English.
