What's the thing with Dead Limit? I just clicked through this set and noticed the banner. It's the same thing like that every DJ was playing Asteroids and it got tedious as hell?
yeah, that's it. On festivals like this, you can hear Dead limit like 20 times a night. It's fucking annoying, this year it was dead limit + voodoo people
its pretty much as overplayed as any song on the radio, didnt notice that with Asteroids to be honest - Dead Limit came out in 2015 and was allready played months before it finally released, and its literally in EVERY set you listen to. sure thing crowd hype etc but its simply so overplayed imo it just shows a lack of creativity from the dj's set plan. its starting to become annoying and the "big tune vibes", if you want to call it like that, become all negative on the dancefloor. Stop playing it for 1-2 years and you have a fine classic tune. I mean cmon i dont hear Vodoo People either in every set.
there are quite a lot of different versions of Dead Limit though - original, Old VIP which the Upbeats always drop in their sets, Kursiva halftime edit, Ownglow Edit - all the Hospital lads like this, and most recent the "Outer Edges" remix. Its not just the original getting thrown around. Each version sounds different, but has the same buildup which gets everyone hyped. For me personally, I love that this song keeps getting played. I never get bored of it. It's better than like Mr. Happy, and all that jump up shit.
I'm really not a fan of the modern mixes 55 tracks in less than an hour is fucking ridiculous ...people make great tracks and djs play 30 seconds of it....but good set though
I agree.... And it gets a bit messy sometimes. It's hard to make sure every mix is clean when you are constantly trying to squish one track into another nonstop. I love NeonLight's production. They are pretty amazing. Bad Omen is friggin awesome.
