    Such an excellent video. I too am a fan of Albert Watson. From other videos, I learned he was trained as a graphic designer, and it really shows, maybe more than in the work of any other photographer. Love his work, thanks for the superb commentary. I will remember “plate of the face” and “light on camera axis” forever, my forever, of course.

    Great Video Don. I like the way you break down the image to show how and why it was lit in a certain way. Lots of ideas to try when next shooting a model. Thank you.

    Loved the shots and your review of them. It really does make you think about current conventional wisdom of what makes a portrait “good”.
