After Hours of editing lost by a corrupted file a year ago... I finally came back to it and re-edited this entire video.
This is the mighty Thunderjaw for the Horizon zero dawn board game by Steam forge games.
It took a day to paint and was such a joy to work on.
I've always loved the design of this thing and for a long time I tried to find an affordable statue of it in order to re-paint it.
Then came SteamForge.

Opens expansion box, throws away all the useless cards and game board, known as mini packaging :p
In the first draft of the video I left the part when everything but the model is being thrown away haha
You don't need the dead weight of the gaming material if you don't game 😅
This is fantastic. Gotta say there's something about the shades of green and grey that feel very Metal Gear to me
Wauw. Amazing paint job and very scenic but simple basing. Love everything. Thanks for a great video and inspiration.
Amazing
I feel this video healing my mental.
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it :)
That's some precice brush controll
Fantastic work man :), thanks for shearing!
Thanks you !
Glad you enjoyed the build :)
outstanding... just wow.
Very nice work!
great build dude!
Thanks !
It was a lot of fun to go through
Mais quel bg
Could you do a Burrower or a Watcher also?
Amazin job could you give a listo of the colours used ?
Absolutely amazing job on the painting and basing! I got so scared when you started to dirty it up but you hit just the right amount of gritty. Not sure if editing magic or not but did you really do base colors in a single coat? If so that and you skill to apply it that evenly is outstanding! What paint's do you use?
Thanks a lot !
That's the magic of oil washing.
Apply... too much... on purpose !
Let it dry and clean it up with mineral spirits.
For the white armor, there is a first grey layer done with the airbrush, so considering I consistently go over the already covered area, I don't know it we can consider it ONE layer haha.
Followed by a pure white highlight with the airbrush.
The green panels are done in one layer with a brush. Good quality paint will do that even when thinned just enough.
Regarding the paints, There's coat d'arms and vallejo mostly. plus some cheapo oils.
That was an amazing job friend may i ask what are the colors you used and what type of model is this...
Many thanks !
Regarding the colors used On top of my head I can't remember but looking at picture it seems to be AK Interactive Grey primer then highlighted with white for the main armor.
I don't stock grey paints so the dark grey parts of the armor are most likely a mix of black and white.
Then for the oil wash i simply mix Black and burnt amber together to get a dark brown.
That's all I can remember right now.
Now for the model itself.
It's the Thunderjaw coming from the Horizon Zero dawn board game made by Steamforged games.
Thanks for the reply. The colors that were used to paint legs and the panels on the neck.. is that olive drab green ..
@@Kshatriya-bz8dd I'll try to check if I still have the video rush during the week-end.
If I do, I should be able to find the colour in question.
All I can say is, I fairly certain it's a Coats d'arms paint.
Are the decals included in the box or did you source them somewhere else?
No, these are some left overs from warhammer kits.
They do fit in surprisingly well though !
Hello ! What Material in ThunderJaw ? I owned MOC UnOfficial MOC Thunderjaw !
I do believe it's ABS.
Soft flexible plastic.
It's not the best for details but it does the job.
y the weird line in the vid
My camera's f*cked 😅
Omg he so cute
