I had a similar issue that ended up in a faulty sequence where the coffee machine would stop right before the grinder should start and all the lights would start flashing at the same time. The hot water worked but no or very little water would come out of the coffee spout. When I disassembled the machine a few days later, I tested the grinder and it worked. The water was coming out of the steam wand but still barely came out of the spout. So I unmounted the spout and cleaned it thoroughly, it was clogged. So basically the water was trying to find another way out, the water tray or the coffee pellet tray or somewhere else within the machine which I believe caused a malfunction at the grind circuit board level. Once the spout was cleaned up, the machine resumes it normal sequence. To remove the spout you just need to unscrew a few screws, remove the front of the machine shell and disconnect the spout.
It could be that the o-ring (3 of them) are in need of replacement. There is a lot of pressure with dispensing hot water to force it through the system. If you haven’t ever changed the o-rings where the brewing unit is (remove the unit and you will see a water port on the main unit) there are two gaskets o-rings there. There is a major o-ring on the coffee press in the brewing unit. These need to be replaced after a lot of use. On one of my units the ring was old and degraded. That solved the problem.
check the pump. they are only 30 or so dollars. I replaced my on a Delonghi and it works well 2 years later. I have the xsmall too and I have a problem with the dump door not remaining closed

It seems that coffee went to the container for used coffee but not to the dispenser. Is it right? I have the same problem. Do you find a decision?
