Alice was going to tear...I think,on her mind ,there were all memories,all injuries and problems that she had to face.and then,at this worldchampionship,she wins.
SO great to see Alicia back!!! She had too much fire to not come back! I almost had to look twice to make sure the girl I was looking at was her....not used to the dark hair thing.....She's back where she belongs.....

why is she doing her first vault without this u-shaped mat around the springboard? I thought it was mandatory after Julissa Gomez accident? Or is it only for Yurchenko?
I'm not here to hate. Bucause i love Alicia, one of my fav American gymnasts. But we have to agree that Aliya deserved the gold medal. Alicia's vaults are very poor compared to Aliya's. We can see it in the difficulty score.
Kevin Morales Aliya got credit for her difficulty. Alicia won because of her much better execution. Actually, it should not have been as close as it was. Aliya's execution score for her 2.5 twist was all out ridiculous.
In the 2017-20 CoP Alicia Chusovitina vault: 5.8 SV DTY (Baitova): 5.4 SV Aliya Amanar: 5.8 SV Half on full twist off: 5.6 SV Aliya did perform a harder second vault but her execution was no where near Alicia’s. Aliya has crossed legs and is known for her bad twisting form.
