Mike has a perfectionist take on stuff, but the beauty of the video was that edgy colourful and random stravaganza

Ironic, i think it's easily one the best videos ever recorded for those very specific reasons he's mentioned. The entire authenticity of blending so many different/weird ideas just like that and allowing whatever the user wants it to be is exactly why i love the video. The video is not 'perfect'. The video is an animation of whatever the lyrical content song was about. Are you into rap? Focus on Mike in the video. Are you into singing out loud? Focus on Chester in the video. Are you into just "feeling the song" with minimal movements? Focus on Rob. Are you into bass? focus on Dave. Are you into singing soft harmonies? Focus on Brad. Are you into effects? Focus on Joe. Are you into lyrics? Focus on the walls. As someone who grew up mainly on rap music (where most videos are either an overflex of material things or way too deep to beg attention) yet got into metal later on in life (cause of them), I've always respected how "goofy" they all look in the video. They all looked like "young adults" who were asked to best represent whatever they wrote instead of acting like "professional actors". Could also probably be cause i tend to enjoy more of the "why" someone is moving the way they do rather than the 'how". See it's easy to throw in the best effects to magnify a video, it's much more "artistic" (to me at least) to animate your own song to each of its details. Sometimes (sometimes, not all the time) the reason people connect so much to what you're doing isn't cause you precisely know what you're doing, it's purely cause they can relate to the internal passion you've put into doing it and they want to be a part of it. Timeless video if you ask me.

That official video of Paper cut is hilarious what Mike and Chester is doing. What about that actor of that blue Man in the right room?

For a Linkin Park fan, the Papercut music video will always be the greatest discovery on Limewire before the release of Frat Party at the Pancake Festival!
